Granted the game just started, but I really do wonder if his diabetes really does affect him somehow. It can only explain how you could go from good to bad week to week.

That's what I think it is. I've never heard him blame it on the diabetes but how cannot it not affect your play when you are expected to perform physically as well as mentally on top of your game.
