How?

I'm upset because if you would've commented more, this all could have been avoided... At some point, you gotta step up and accept some of the blame once in a while tribar. It's part of growing up.

It's evolving from watching Bozo to being a bozo.

Thought that Tikhonov had his best game of the year. Showed a little spark out there and some playmaking ability. Got an audition on the first line at the end of the night because of it. Hoping that someone sticks next to Toews/Hossa soon, because that line needs to get going.

Defense was overall sloppy. Svedberg is so slow out there. Sure he has great reach but he is so slow that he usually doesn't even get a chance to use that reach. That reach is usually only being used as a last ditch effort because he is so out of position due to his speed. Would like to see him in the AHL for a bit more...but that means Rundblad which isn't good for anybody. Blackhawks need to figure out that #6 position, because it really does matter and it helps throughout the backend if that position is reliable.

What I am wondering is if its finally time to move Hossa out of top 6? Take some pressure off him. You don't see Jagr in that role anymore...point being it will come someday and we already saw instances of it for short times in the playoffs.

Panarin-Toews-Tikhonov
Baun-AA-Kane
Dano-TT-Hossa
Garbutt-Kruger-Shaw

We are severely weakened.

I think the guy we are missing is Sharp. Saad is a gaping wound but it wouldn't feel so confusing if that third line wasn't destroyed too. Every time we throw a dart at the 1LW it just muddies the third line further.

You are missing Bigfoot.... hes always there, I know hes easy to miss, but Bigfoot must be in every lineup

Jagr is currently playing on the first line for the Panthers with Huberdeau/Barkov...

Hossa is fine on the first line, should be in the top 6, and is still creating opportunities.

Maybe he is in there, lurking, and we just don't see him?

I have been one of his biggest supporters. I would usually point out that he will turn it up in the playoffs and I don't mind him preserving his body over the course of the season if it means leading the playoffs in hits, and typically his hits are effectual thunder.

I would even argue that he began the playoffs last year on a high note, and was his usual self raising his play 5 levels when it got time to get dirty and teams started to try to slow us down with big checks.

But....I don't understand his contract situation if he even has a chance to be here when all the top tier contract decisions are made and everybody is here and rostered like Dano. So is there cap room for him?

Secondly...after the first series and a half of last yeas playoffs, his play has been shockingly bad. At this time for those two reasons, (is he permaconcussed? is that what vertigo is?)

I have just begun not including him, and I view Baun as his screener/hitter replacement, which is where some speculation begins about slotting a bruiser with Kane if Panarin turns out to be more effectually paired with either Toews or TT who set guys up a little different then Kane.
