Not sure if there is a bigger surprise in the NHL this season than the complete collapse of what appeared to be an up-and-coming team out on Long Island. New York won its first playoff series since 1993 last season before falling at the hands of the Lightning. With a captain at just 25 and a young core including Ryan Strome, Nick Leddy and Kyle Okposo, this team appeared ready to rise in the east. But Okposo walked in free agency, none of the team's free agent signings have done much of anything, and that young talent just isn't thriving. It's led to calls for Jack Capuano's job, and perhaps those calls will get answered. Meanwhile, the Hawks have won a few in a row and are back at full strength with Toews and Seabrook again back in the lineup. Seems like two points should be attainable tonight, don't they?
LET'S GO HAWKS!!
