Going to be ready for this game. Really want to see how this team responds to that game 3 loss. Lets go Hawks!

I feel we need this one.... we bring it back to 2-2 and gain the momentum back we have a great chance, if we shit a brick on the ice again and drop 3-1 in the series I feel like we will be toast. I know every game is important, but I believe we are teetering at the edge of an epic collapse, we need to take back the momentum and put Detroit back on their heels.

We've seen too many teams coming back from 3-0 to force a game 7 in the last few years to say its over if they lose. Im just worried about how they will play this one. If they come out offensively (game 1 & 3) or play it for a 1-0, 2-1 defensive battle. I dont trust our goaltending in those types of games. I want to see them play just like they did in game 3....if Howard stuffs them again, so be it.

One thing....PLEASE go top shelf on this kid. He's a lot like Crawford in that he's on his knees a lot....make him flash the glove or blocker. They just might get a rebound or two if they do.

Get the puck. Control the puck. Have long, sustained periods of offensive pressure in Detroit's end. Wings mistakes will follow, Chicago goals will happen.

It's been the gameplan all year. No reason to stop it now.

My concern is that we have another Chicago team that could make the wrong kind of history. No pro-team that uses a multi-game series to move to the championship round has ever had a record as good as the Blackhawks and not made it to the finals. Again...we're not talking about single game eliminations so it takes the two 14-2 Bears teams, the 49er's 14-2 team, and the packers 15-1 team off the hook.

Two teams in the past decade finished an NHL season with over 120 points and neither one of them made it out of the first round. '10 Capitals, '06 Wings.

'96 Wings had 131 points and lost in the Conference Finals.

In a non-truncated season, were the hawks on pace for a 140+ point season?

Call me a homer, whatever (although you know I've been critical before)...but whether they win or lose tonight, I think this hawks team can beat this wings team 3 straight.

i think they can. there is a potential for that but the odds would be stacked against the hawks.

They had 77 points after 48 games, so take away 7 games (5 wins and 2 OTL for the sake of argument) And they're at 65 points total. Making that a 130 point season FWIW

Handzus starting over Toews.

Gotta switch things up at some point. Toews has to get going.

Gotta get a W tonight.

To be fair it doesn't matter who starts, Toews will still get a lions' share of the shifts
