All I know is that the Bulls are winning big without Rose. So unless you have a good reason why this happens I have my theory that you can follow.
Luol Deng is an all star player and the best SF defender in the league if he won't be in the All-Defensive First Team(he should be there) he will be in the All defensive second team for sure, Noah is an an all star level player and he will take the PF spot in the All defensive first team for sure and Boozer is a top10 PF + 6 more players who would be starters in 8 out of 10 NBA teams.And Thibs is one of the very best coaches in the league.

The minimum. If he shuts down Durant and LBJ in the next 3 games against the Thunder and the Heat he will be in the first defensive team. Hopefully the coaches who vote are not ESPN analysts. Both Noah and Deng should be in the first defensive team.

Paul,Iggy,Lebron,Noah,Ibaka will be the All defensive first team but if Deng does his magic tricks and shut Durant and LeBron down he can take LeBron's place.If he doesn't he will be in the all defensive second team.

The Bulls have an uphill battle for getting votes towards these awards. I doubt Noah gets ADT at all, even 2nd team. Dwight, Love, KD, Allen, Paul will win 1st team honors, Iggy might get the honor vote, because KD might get bumped because he's likely going to be First Team and MVP.

No reward for Dwight this year. Tony Allen won't be there too. KD has no business there. KLove will be in the all nba first team but its highly impossible not to have one Bull there and Noah is a lock. Last year he was All NBA defensive second team because in the first team it was KG,this year he will be in the first team.

No. I won't participate in that LeBron's defensive skills hype. He is a great defender but Deng is a great defender too.

You're ignoring how the league works. You can make a good case for a player, but popularity rules. And homer fans that ignore most of the league will pass judgment based on stats only, which Deng is lacking in.

NBA coaches are voting for the All NBA defensive team. Not fanboys or sportswriters and analysts. And there is no fucking way to have an All NBA defensive first team without players from the Bulls and the 6ers. The only two teams that keep their opponents below 90 points in the league. In this season with Rose out for so many games it is possible for the Bulls to have 2 players in the All defensive first team. And the second one is Deng. LeBron is the frontrunner right now BUT if Deng does 3 great defensive games against the 2 best players in the league and the Bulls win the games (or LeBron doesn't win these games too) it is very possible to see Deng there.
