No doubt. If I didn't know any better I would've thought that was his first career at-bat. Why was he falling off the back of the plate while trying to lay down a bunt at the same time? He looked like he was afraid of the ball or something, lol.

Last time I checked the Cubs were spending the most on major league payroll in the division. You can build a damn good team with 135 million spent wisely.

Exactly the point. The problem isn't the fact that the Cubs aren't spending enough. The problem is that they spent on the wrong people, and while he was slow to solve that problem Ricketts is halfway to fixing it now (I say halfway because this decision he is about to make is the most important decision of his ownership).

Yes an no. Hendry has long had a history of overpaying for middling relievers which is why we are paying John Grabow close to 5 million this year. Soriano while valuable at the time of the signing was going to be bad money at the end of the deal, and everyone knew it. Some of the deals didn't work out the way they had hoped, but plenty of them were predictably bad deals.
