They are playing well.. very well. They have run into a hot goalie. A few missed opportunities but they are playing okay. I blame it on the jerseys.

Welp, a loss. I can't really rip on their effort nor their skill. They played well enough to win, just ran into a hot goaltender. It just sucks to have one of those games at this time of the year!
It's okay though... I'm hoping for Vancouver.
Shutout by a guy with a save % of 88 & GAA of 3.10
True, I see where you are coming from, I wish some of the shot selection and shot location was different but hindsight is 20/20. They were obviously pressing with their chances. But Smith made 31 saves. Atleast 4 of them were clutch saves with the legs.
At the beginning of the season, most would agree that you are going to run into 5-7 of these types of games during an 82 game schedule. Overreact if you want, but this was just one of those type of games. It just sucks that it happened this late in the season.
It sucks even more because it happened in Boston last week and then against Dallas 2 weeks before that.
I agree- these games do happen.
But they can not happen 3 times in the last month of the season when you're fighting to make the playoffs. 2 of those games were against eastern teams!
I don't like breaking bad on the Hawks... I never see any benefit to it. But 3 shutouts in a month is inexcusable.
I see what your saying but stats don't always paint an accurate picture of a player. How does the saying go, 'When you're hot, you're hot'? Unfortunately it looks as though the Hawks caught him on a hot-streak. If I remember correctly, didn't he do the same thing to us when we played the Bolts a couple of weeks back?
