Cubs have 22 swings and misses tonight. If you have that many, not only was your initial approach bad, you refused to adapt. Strasburg lived on the change with two strikes and maybe Jon Jay was only Cub who figured that out third time through

All K'ed third time through on out of the zone changeups. I get there is movement there, but Jake has movements and the Nats had five walks.

If you go up against a pitcher as good as Strasburg without a plan on how's he pitching you, you strike out a lot. That's what tonight was: no plan to how he was going to pitch you. I can live with taking a strike on strike 3 because he fooled you; I can't live with a guy throwing the same pitch out of the zone for seven innings in any two strike spot and the team routinely trying to hit it. Especially with the way the wind is and how good Strasburg has been at limiting HR. You simply are more dangerous walking than you are trying to hit on a day today.

Maybe there is/was a plan but he is just dealing. I mean, he's not just some pitcher (not saying you're saying that). Just tip your cap today. There's some outs left. Hopefully there's magic today.
