2-2! Go Fire, lets get the win!
You got to love that Frank bunkered for the final 15+ minutes by bringing in Pause. We go down 2-0 make a come back to 2-2, instead of bringing in the reining MVP off the bench. What does Frank do, he brings in Pause WTF.
Magee must have been in worse shape than we thought... but then again, he warming up at half-time. Maybe mismanagement, see how he is @ Portland.
OK, say he was. Then why not have Shipp on the bench instead? If Shipp is on the bench sub out Rolfe and bring in Shipp and go after the win. Instead Frank has a player that's good for only 10 minutes instead of one that could play more than 10 minutes. So the only player he has on the bench to bring in for a cramping Rolfe is Pause. Sorry, but Pause shouldn't even be on the roster. This is why we are in the position we are in (besides having cheapass owner), we keep players like Pause and sign players like McDonald, Puppo, Anangono etc....
Whatever it is it's too much......If Magee wasn't ready then why have him in the 18 man roster? Shipp should of been on it and came on for Rolfe. Not sure what kind of cap hit Pause has, but sure wouldn't mind moving it. And I don't know, only rational explanation for not bringing him in unless he decided Pause as 3rd sub to preserve tie after the two quick goals.
Just went back to check my email again, the quote sheet had Yallop saying this:
“To be honest, he’s still a bit injured, so I didn’t want to risk him in this game. We said maybe, but I had already put Logan [Pause] on, Chris Rolfe was cramping, and we had already used all our subs. Mike was good for maybe ten minutes but we had to change it a little bit. It is what it is. I think Mike wanted to be part of it today and I did as well, but I didn’t want to risk it and give him 25 minutes when he probably only had 10 in him, and his hamstring is still a little bit tight, so I didn’t want to go there.”

Sorry this ones on Frank. Hopefully he realizes it and makes changes for next weeks game, because even with the right/best players on our roster it's going to be a tuff game next week. Oh by the way it's on the "fake" suff and we haven't won a game on the "fake" stuff in 4 years (something like 10 or 11 games).
Wondering if the fake stuff will influence his decision with Magee this coming week.
It would be nice if Magee played, but I don't think we have a chance in hell in Portland with or without Magee. I hope I'm wrong, but the game could be an ugly one for us. Playing on the "fake" stuff (which we haven't won one on in 4 years), playing one of the favorites to win MLS/USOC/SS. I see Yallop packing it in playing 8 behind the ball and trying for a 0-0 tie, so long ball after long ball to Anangono.
