Chapman did it.In theory cubs can trade him and then sign him in FA. Get some prospects for him, then let him find out what his value is on the open market. If it’s more than the cubs wanna go then no big deal, cubs got something for him. But if his market is a lil less than what he expected, maybe cubs offer the most money and he comes back after a few months being gone. It’s not unheard of
