Boys...let me give you my recap of this game....

I sat directly in front of Soriano. I was in straight-away LF. The ball that got over Sori's head would've hit me in the nuts if I was sitting on the field. Sori took a bad route, then tried to jump to get the ball. He never turned around and ran...just backpeddled and shuffled his feet like a dummy. It was pathetic. Marlon Byrd SHOWED him how to turn and run during the pitching change. lulz.

Quade left Z in FAR too long. Then he left Mateo in FAR too long. Quade looked at the scoreboard and saw that Z hadn't given up a run, and then left him in 3 batters too long. It's a pathetic cycle of ineptitude, and it makes me seriously question the judgment of his hire. In the 6th, the Reds sent 10 players to the plate BETWEEN THE 1ST AND 2ND OUT...ugh.

(I kid you not, as I typed this, I just saw myself on ESPN as the ball flew over Sori's head. I jumped up (in a blue jacket) b/c I thought he had a chance at catching it.)

This team sucks complete fucking ass in the clutch. It was evident all night. NEVER got the big hit.

Darwin Barney may be the best offensive player on this team.

Carlos Pena is seeing the ball really, really well. Hit one deep and hit another to the warning track.

Most Reds fans are okay, but several are major fucking ****** bags. I get so fucking sick of "1908" chants. It's been 21 fucking years since you won it, ya bastards. Do something besides getting swept in the playoffs.

The Ohio River is still nasty.

I honestly saw more Derrick Rose Jerseys than Joey Votto jerseys. That's no shit.

I don't know who our 3rd base coach is, but he's a tool. Down 3 in the 7th, he Sent Soriano (who was on 2nd) on a single. Soriano, who was half-assing it, was thrown out...and Sori's to blame, but really, the 3rd base coach has to know the situation. We could've had a definite 1&3 w/ no outs and Pena hitting. Instead we had man on 2b w/ 1 out. That's just fucking dumb. Know the situation, and make calls you get paid to make. dumbassery.

All in all, I still enjoyed my trip. But as I told my wife when we were driving back to Southern KY after the game, I won't go see another game until they pretend they want to contend. I won't waste major dollars on a poor product. I'll still support, and I'll still watch on TV, but I've got better things to do than watch that garbage in person for a bit too much $$$

Sorry for the long post, been thinking about this shit for 4 hours.

With all due respect X, paying to see a game at the GABP isn't really supporting the Cubs (financially) so you could/should still go see them there.

no, i agree w/ that...I probably worded it wrong in the wee hours of the a.m. (God I was tired.) I won't spend the amount of money it takes to watch them play. It's a 3 hr trip, $80+ in gas...typically stay in a hotel when I'm there, get tix for everyone who is going....I probably spent $500+ on this trip. Won't do that anymore until they field a team who wants to try.
