I am. This was by far our easiest month and we are 500. When we start playing good teams it's not gonna be good.

Going into the season, I didn't think the Cubs were much better than the teams that they've played this month. Before the season, I predicted that the Cubs would be one of the worst teams in baseball.
It's still too early to know if my prediction was right but so far they're not as bad as I thought they would be but I don't think they're very good either.

The Cubs are playing much better then I thought so far. And it is even more amazing considering they have 1 1/2 starters right now. Who would have thought they would be .500 with Dempster throwing high school batting practice, Garza throwing College batting practice, Casey Coleman being Casey Coleman and James Russell lasting 2-3 innings a start.

As for Dempster, he has pitched alright, Quade just leaves him in way to freakin' long. Like today.

Quade is a fucking dumbass. He had Reed Johnson positioned toward RCF with Marshall pitching and Ethier at the plate. This was the first time I noticed it and Ethier hit what should have been a single over Baker's head, but because of Johnson's positioning an extra run was allowed to score and Ethier got a double. He just does not make good decisions. He left Dempster in an inning too long. He let Dempster hit with the bases loaded vs. a RHP with literally a bench full of lefties. He just doesn't make any sense. I can't stand him.

Wow. If Garza's throwing college BP, I want to know what your definition of pro ball is. He's K'ing people at an alarming rate, and has worked himself out of a lot of jams, so far. I doubt you'd be whistling that tune if Marmol hadn't had blown 2 of his Ws...
