He slowed at second like he didn't know there was 2 outs. Unforgivable in a tightly played game like this one.

TBH, he is slow, and IMO, the two throw outs had him gun shy. Custom threw a gem, but Lester was just to slick. Esp with him mixing in pitches after 6 that he was not showing early. He got better as the game went on, and with Baez going yard, and still being below 90 pitches going into the 9th, he probably should have been allowed to finish. But a win is a win, and Joe was brilliant in his calls. Outside of the battery, it looked as if Joe knew what the Giants were going to do before they did.

On a side note, I think it is utter stupidity to try to bunt on 2 strikes. I don't know what the hell Cueto was thinking.

Crazy to think we only had 3 hits and still won the game. But I guess all it takes is one hit from Baez.

Jon Lester isn't flashy but he's as solid a workhorse as there is in MLB and he's one hell of a playoff pitcher. In case anyone wondered why he was signed, last night was the reason.
Wasn't it crazy how the Giants leadoff guy who got thrown out by Ross at 2B didn't have a good lead? This playoff game seems like the exact opposite of Lester's first game with the Cubs Opening Night 2015.

Let's take care of business and beat the Shark today. I am hoping we can string together more than 3 hits in this one. Hopefully Fowler, Rizzo and Zobrist get untracked.

Tell them there is always the 49ers, lol lol lol.....

**smokes cigar**

Warriors are not too sucky. Enough titles in SF, time to spread the wealth.

Posey is nursing a hamstring, you can tell he isn't running anywhere near 100%. Nice guy, great player, but as far as I'm concerned he can suck dick-bags for the remainder of this series.

Today should be a day game... damn networks.

I also blame the cubs for their constant pursuit of evening weekend baseball beer sales.

Man, who are these people with the little kids in the front fucking row?

Anyway, Maddon nailed it again. Zobrist had a Brant Brown moment and the cubbies overcame. Baez would have sure looked stupid getting a single off that swing though.

Great range at second made a few plays look easy as well and Lester with yet another ball stuck in the glove.

Cant wait to see the lineup today. I would honestly rather see Miggy behind the plate with Kyle, last few starts there were too many shake offs to Willson.

Lester is just so mentally tough. RISP? No problem. Three innings in a row he had the lead off hitter on base. It didn't phase him at all.

It was a pleasure watching him last night. Out of all the moves Thed Hoystein have made, the Lester signing was the one that signaled the rebuild is over.

If this series goes 5, I have faith Lester will out pitch Cueto.

Somebody needs to buy Lester a new glove. Hell, I'll do it at this point...
