Who needs a 3b that will a.) be competitive (due to his NTC) and b.) need a 3b?

To answer my own question, Colorado might. Their starter, Stewart, has 1 hit on the year...Lopez played 3rd today, and went 0-3 w/ a K and left 3 on base.

We need to take a step back and look at this....

We are doing okay, really. Especially considering we have the highest BABIP of any team in MLB.

Or...we take a step back and say our production at RF, C and 1B is borderline horrific w/ no in-house solutions, our SPs look close to awful...our bullpen outside of Marshall and Marmol is sketchy at best, our SS makes far too many errors, and the CF, whom most Cubs fans at least on this board seem to be not-to-fond of is the best all-around player on our team.

And our coach? :obama:

Also, consider where the Cubs were this time last year. After 10 games last year I told everyone the season was over and it essentially was. I'd much rather be several games above .500 but one under due to the best team in baseball isn't the worst thing ever.

Losing to Colorado doesn't bother me as much as being 4-5 in our division does...especially considering we haven't played Cincy or St. Lou yet.

Our schedule only gets harder from here on out, fellas.

It's only been like 2 weeks, though. I think that at least 1B and C will rebound. SP is a by-product of Quade being a dumbass and the BABIP being so high. Castro...who the **** knows.

I still disagree that Byrd is the best all-around player on this team.

A case can be made for Ramirez I guess...but who else? Barney?

Are we just talking offensive players? If so Ramirez, Soto and Castro are all better overall players.

Pena and Soriano could be as well. Byrd is a solid player but he is nothing special.

If we are talking total team, then well he moves much further down with Dempster, Zambrano, Wells, Marmol and Marshall going ahead of him.

What's Ubaldo out with? Anyone know when he'll be back for the Rox? He's got some nasty stuff in his arsenal.

I believe he'll be back Monday. I have no clue what he has. I'm guessing an injury?

That line up should get us 2 runs and another inevitable loss.
