Toews was interfered with by the 5th guy on the ice prior to the goal. It's OT, meh. As you saw (and haven't complained yet about), Leddy was out there with Monty for the OT goal. Ouch, but Keith and Seabrook can't play 65 a game. Go get a good defenseman, Stan. It's been a glaring problem for weeks, even when the team was winning. Is he selling this team short by doing nothing? Maybe...

The Hawks pp got weaker by the opportunity. Credit Babcock.

I don't know if I want to credit Babcock or continue to discredit Kitchen (or whoever is the PP boss).

Hawks PP is frighteningly bad.

Serious is right- aside from the Philly game where the Hawks didn't get a go on the PP, they're getting opportunities with the man advantage and they're completely blowing it.

Look at Vancouver. We saw them murder the Hawks with 5pp tallies and then this past Saturday they beat Boston single-handedly on the PP- scoring all 4 of their goals with the advantage.

And contrary to what Olczyk keeps harping- the problem isn't just the entry. It's the ridiculous need to always throw it low and then across the crease. It's the constantly blocked shots from Keith. It's the possessions where they get it in the zone, take a big slapper and then chase the puck backwards as the other team gets an easy clear. It's all garbage.

Oh, and as for the other shit in this thread.

Kane had a good game. One of his better recent games by far.

Frolik is waste of a roster slot. Enormous disappointment even with relaxed expectations. Sergei Samsonov version 2.

Bickell is a not a good hockey player. He shouldn't be playing for the Hawks anymore.

I agree on Bickell...but had the other two flipped.

Kane was good in the offensive zone but so costly in the defensive. He was god awful with his blueline turnovers last night and did so many flybys it was ridiculous.

I thought Frolik has an alright game last night and made a nice turnover to give Sharp the opportunity to score the 2nd goal last night. The thing I like about Frolik is that he is a hound on the backcheck and pretty solid in the defensive zone...even if he has one of the weakest wrist shots in the league.
