That stupid ass trick play Int didnt help

100%.

But overall, how many other bad calls/mistakes did BJ make? Not trying to make a huge case for/against, but am curious. Goff was responsible for 4 turnovers besides that play. Did BJ melt all game long or have one bad play?

why blame Johnson he didn't turn the ball over
Of course I do. That play csll was Eberflus. In that situation you play football and if you score, and I believe they would have scored, you start turning momentum in your favor. It was a dumb call and as you saw the game was over at that point.

If someone blames the brakes for the reason a car drove off the road when the actual issue was they were drunk and the steering is what actually went out, then yes, I can call them stupid.

The injuries on defense caught up to them, and Goff decided to remember he was Jared Goff.
I don’t have any idea of what you are trying to say. Thanks.

If my steering goes out, why is it necessary for me to be drunk to go off the road?

I agree that the trick play that resulted in an interception was a bad call at the time. But I will say in Detroit’s defense they have been that aggressive all year long and it has been part of their identity, so I don’t see why we would expect them necessarily to change.

On the other hand, many of us did assume that when their time came to blow a game, it would be because they were getting too cute or too aggressive. I figured it would come down to too many fourth down, tries which it did not tonight, but that’s the way Campbell coaches and that’s the way he wants it.

That was such a god awful time for a trick play. Only 10 points down and you just pushed the ball to mid field with a big play and had momentum on the drive. You've been moving the ball well all game (outside of a couple Goofs), so just play sound football and get it down to a 1-score game, and anything can happen from there.

Instead it quickly turned into a 3-score game and it was basically over at that point.

It does make me a bit concerned about BJ. Hope when he's in charge he learns to save the trick plays for when you're bogged down and need a change of pace to get something going (unless he goes somewhere other than Chicago).

The really sad thing tonight what this loss means to Detroit's fish population as @nc0gnet0 about to take out all his rage on them.
Too much ice, the fish will have to wait.

Not going to lie, that one hurt. Damn Jayden Daniels is awesome.

Good season. Other teams wouldn’t have clinched the #1 seed with all of those injuries. Go all in next year.

Wait until after the Super Bowl and you can come back and tell us you’re a fake fan of the new world champion.

Yes, next year is the year to go all in. Injuries were bound to be an issue sooner or later, can only win with smoke and mirrors on defense for so long.

Rooting for LA from here on out, although that might be short lived, if they lose to Philly, I have no interest in the SB.

Don’t do that, they don’t have a chance.

At the end of the D the team was built to win on O not D. BJ's O couldnt keep up with Daniels.
