It's going to be a tough reality to face once I go back to school after this kind of high.

Crawf saved this teams ass in the 3rd period & OT.

They owe him a nice steak dinner if they win Tuesday.

What a game. Even if the Hawks lose on Tuesday, nobody can say there was a lack of effort. However, I truly don't think the Hawks are going to lose game 7. The Canucks can't handle the pressure.

So how was the atmosphere at the UC tonight, Joe? That place went nuts after Smith's game winner in OT.

I've done that before, but it was more like 12 of them. It was an odd experience, to say the least. The copious amounts of alcohol probably didn't help. Now I try to stay around 4 or 5.

yeah the 8-12 range is some crazy shit. talking to people that arnt even there and shit. under 4-5 is pretty safe, i still dont like it though unless im on some other drug. :shifty:

BTW, chanting Detroit sucks after the game was fucking stupid.

:turrible:

This really needs to stop. Even when Detroit is actually in the building.

It was fun to do when the Hawks were terrible and regular season matchups against the Wings were the closest feeling to a playoff atmosphere that we'd get at the UC. But now? It's just stupid- especially so when Detroit isn't even playing the Hawks.

Whatever.

The last time I was this happy leaving the UC- Game 6 after Kane's hat trick on Luongo.

While Smith may well make the team, I was under the impression that Fernando Pisani's role on the team was as a defensive specialist -therefore comparing him to anyone with a role *other than* defensive specialist - aside from being as unrealistic as hell, is completely silly.

As for Detroit Sucks -- well, I agree with you on that one - and wanted to add that the irony here is that when Detroit really did suck in the 80's - no one bothered to mention this ... I suppose it must have seemed like piling on. But yeah.... stupid as.

Part 3: From the Trib-

"Sometimes you have to go with your gut,'' Vigneault said.

And then the definition of Truthiness from Stephen Colbert's first Colbert Report:

Sounds about right to me... :D Love it ... this type of stuff is why I love hockey. :D

Last time I was happy leaving the UC was the 7-1 stomping of the Coyotes 2 years back. Huet blew a shutout chance but the UV was so loud no one realized the horn broke mid-game.

So who is one lone dissenting vote?...lol.

The use of "Canuck" is similar to the use of some other potentially offensive nicknames. When it is used by the people it names — Canadians in this case — it is usually acceptable. But when it is used by an outsider — in this case particularly Americans — it can be thought of as insulting one's heritage. Although it is not as severe as most ethnic slurs, some consider it one - just as Yankee can be

Well then, **** the Canooks!.
