All I want is a split of the two games in LA...not going to get greedy and hope for the sweep. I won't complain if they do sweep though.

Darren Pang and some other fucking idiot. Evidently taking a 2-0 lead in the series is not a big deal to them.

Darren Pang....the mini-me goaltender. You mean that dwarf still has a job?

Just a quick note before heading to bed...

Corey Crawford has now allowed 24 goals this postseason.

Jonathan Quick has now allowed 26 goals.

It amazes me that NBC cannot get better commentators to do hockey games. I like Doc, and Edzo only bothers me when he tries ever so hard not to be a Hawks homer. Everyone else they have are just about awful.

A sweep would be nice but the Kings are a completely different team at home. As long as the Blackhawks keep defending home ice they are gonna be fine

Who the hell are these two fucktards doing the game on NBC? All I hear is how LA is even keeled and what problems the Hawks are having. Take a look at the scoreboard you assholes!!!

Eastcoast gets Doc & Eddie, we get these two useless bastards. Takes some of the fun out of watching.

All the announcers are trying to do is keep the unknowing Johnny come lately fan interested enough to maybe tune in the next game, because the hawks are totally dominating the Kings, at least in the first two games.

My favorite comment was the "perfect shot" the Kings made at Crawford... But alas it didn't go in, so how "perfect" was the shot and what do you call a goal scoring shot, if a missed shot was "perfect". Sad, but what else are they suppose to say. Kings aren't fast enough, the Kings are showing a lack of offensive creativity, getting lucky on some rebounds??? Kings fans would then be screaming bias broadcasting.

So far the Kings just don't have an answer for the Blackhawks. Shows how unpredictable the playoffs can be. Only two games in, but I am pretty surprised that the Kings haven't given the Blackhawks a run for their money as I really thought they would be the toughest matchup against the Blackhawks. With that being said, it is no secret how poor they are on the road but how good they are at home. Tuesday is going to be a different Kings team and the Blackhawks better be ready.

Plenty of the top players on the Blackhawks need to step up still and start putting their mark on this series and the playoffs in general. Good news is that guys like Handzus, Bickell, Frolik, Shaw, etc have stepped up in a big way and it has been great to watch.

Also - the amount of money that Stalberg is losing and Bickell is gaining in these playoffs is going to be pretty substantial.

I had the same thought.... I honestly thought I had picked up like a Canadian broadcast by accident when I first heard them in game 1.... they are awful and make the game feel really boring even when it is exciting.... Doc and Edzo at least get excited, why cant they do all the games or at least alternate so Pitt/Boston get shitty announcers to deal with some of the time lol.

Canadian broadcasts are usually 10x better than American broadcasts (for hockey). TSN has fantastic announcers and CBC's top team is pretty damn good as well (although Bob Cole on their second team who did the Hawks series needs to retire).

I cannot disagree because I have not watched much hockey on TSN or CBC but I know when I was stuck streaming online I went through a bunch of streams to get back to Doc and Edzo and away from the Canadian broadcasting because I did not enjoy it.... maybe it was that Bob Cole you were referencing.... but the whole team is just very Canadian, like they were trying to sound overly Canadian lol.... I am sure they are solid on hockey knowledge and do their jobs well, I just did not enjoy the coverage I saw.... I supposed we like what we are used to and I am not used to CBC broadcasters.

On another note, anyone find it odd they pull Edzo away from the Hawks series? I mean the guy knows the Hawks, I know he can be homerish, but they stick him on the non-Chicago series? Seems silly.... lots of Hawks fans enjoy Edzo.... he might make the guy currently doing the Hawks play-by-play tolerable.

Not surprised in the least. The league and the national media deem the East Coast teams and markets to be the better markets. It was ridiculous all year when I would read stuff from national media types of how much they were slobbering over how great the Eastern Conference was. It is like they had not watched the West at all (probably didn't outside of the Hawks). This is in big part due to the fact that West Coast games get over so damn late. Oh, and in case you didn't know, there are only two really good players in the league, Crosby and Ovechkin, just ask ESPN.

Thus, getting to my original point...it is not a shock that the brass at NBCSports would put Doc and Edzo covering the premier match-up out east, and not on the Chi-LA series.

I enjoy Jim Hughson a lot myself, but that is about my only opinion on Canadian broadcasts.

so that is your thought on the game and series? i expect better than that from you.

Cool.

Analysis? Fine. We are up 2-0 and as long as we win 1 in LA we are in great position to make our second appearance in the Stanley Cup in the past four seasons, and we are already in our third conference final in the past five seasons. Crawford is good, plain and simple, even if the defense helps him out a lot, great improvement over last year. And... I'm ashamed of giving up 2 goals in one game to the Kings. :troll:
