Case Keenum is straight garbage. 3 TDs to 6 picks so far, he's carried by his defense. He had a good half season with Minnesota where everything was made for him and someone was willing to pay him big money.

Mahommes has great poise and he did a great job on the last drive. He hasn't been torching today but he's made the plays when he's needed to.

Mahomes makes spectacular plays but also throws quite a few balls up for grabs...i'm curious to see if he gets more conservative as he matures....Trubisky doesn't seem to think as fast and is not as frenetic but seems to be a little more careful

Mahomes is certainly more comfortable with the scheme than Trubisky, but Trubisky certainly is improving....Mahomes is a Rodgers like scrambler with a rocket arm.....

He made several late across his body across the middle, "no,no,no,yes!!" throws yesterday. He is seeing it like Steph Curry in a grove right now. Interesting to see how long that lasts.

Media has sure jumped from Watson's jock to his lightening fast.

And I said it does matter, ever heard of the salary cap? And you responded with another nonsense response.

They pay rookies less than they used to. The whole idea of drafting a QB high and saving money on the cap to fill other positions wasn’t even a thing till they started giving rookies less money 6 or so years ago. It didn’t even exist as a plan. Didn’t the Rams have to give Bradford like 50 million in guaranteed money when he went #1? I’m pretty sure Newton was the first one who didn’t get paid big.

You’re acting as if the whole “draft a white high, pay him little on his rookie contract and use that saved cash to load up around him” is something that has existed in the NFL forever. It hasn’t. It wasn’t even a viable option because you had to pay rookie QBs up until like 6-8 years ago. And even then it didn’t become something people talked about until like 3 years ago.

The kid can ball.

But what stood out to me was his body language and how he was getting frustrated walking off the field. It was kinda like how an entitled brat would would act if he didn’t get his way. It just made me wonder if he could handle a few bad games from playing really good teams. So I want to see how well he responds when nothing goes his way.

He’s done some really good things and Denver’s D is decent, but I want to see how well he does against teams that have a tougher defense with better offenses. I’m eager to see what he’s able to do going into this next stretch. I think they have the Pats, Rams, Bangels, Jags, Ravens still left to play, so we’ll see.

I felt the same way, at the end it appeared he had won the game and Denver was trying to score and their defense blows and he was IMO kind of pouting about the D, he's going to have to learn the hard way not to upstage the other units....the day will come he'll lose a game w/ a pick and won't want the D trashing him

Yeah it sucks that the media talks about guys that play well for more than a single game.

It is stupid and pointless to compare Trubisky and Mahomes.....Let's say these two turn out to be the next coming of Brees and Rodgers.......are we going to give a shit?

The x factor will be playoff success and superbowls........I know there is nothing better than to project an entire career based on a QBs first few games but this is kind of stupid......lets give these guys a year to play NFL games in this system, judge their teams success and then see.

Playoff and SB success is a TEAM stat.

I personally don't care which QB ends up,being better in the end...as long as our TEAM is better.

Marino always had a mark against him. But yes at the end of the day it is about Superbowls.

How bad are the Chiefs at drafting QBs?

Mahomes' win last year was first by a KC-drafted QB in 30 years.

The issue was KC never tried. They always took 2-7 rounders. Got scared because they whiffed on Blackledge.

No normal person knows what you're talking about.

As a kc fan, I’ve watched this team pass on QBs in round one for many years. They didn’t even really try to take a stab at a first round QB. They always tried to hit on mid to late round prospects like Brodie Croyle, Ricky Stanzi. Then there’s the retread route. Traded for other team’s scraps. KC fans have wanted their own first round QB for decades. They finally took a shot and have hit the jackpot on Mahomes.
