Time for some statistical perspective.

With 19 points, the Hawks stand alone atop the Western Conference and pulled into a three-way tie leading the league with the Maple Leafs and Penguins.
Ok, they have a game in hand on Edmonton and Dallas - still, in all the deal here is - ok, given the benefit of the doubt, some people waving their arms about are talking a lot of bull really ... think about it - you got a team that has 19 points in 13 games at this point of the season...
Wash has 2 games in hand on them -and no team has more than 19 points (Pitt has played one more game than Chi, Tor the same).
Seems like using math, that the team isn't doing that bad, relative to other teams this season.
So how is it that stats only seem to apply on an individual player level? Please explain.
