No real reason the bet against us right now, could still happen though.

Im hoping that they still have some fuel in the tank. This looks to be a speed-up&down game which normally would be a good thing for the Hawks but they had a rough go last night while Edmonton rested.

This is the game where it could end . These kids have blown us out a couple times the past 2 yrs and we just seem to not match up well with them for some reason .

So many missed opportunities, gotta survive this power play and then actually convert on one of the many turnover chances the Oilers have given up.

Chicago White Sox/Kansas City Royals = Blackhawks/Edmonton

Makes absolutely no sense....but that's sports

So, are the Hawks actually this good? Or are they just overarching/lucky?

Another solid win. 2nd of a back to back and 3rd game in 4 nights...and the Blackhawks find a way to win.

Noticed that coach Q went back to Carcillo/Toews/Hossa and I felt it was the right move (have been calling for it for a while now). There is no question that Saad has more skill than Carcillo, but Saad does not really compliment Toews/Hossa as much as Carcillo does. That first line had been slumping lately and I think that is the right move long term.

With that being said...it is going to make things even tighter if Carcillo sticks on that first line because Saad has shown that he can play and help out this team. Kruger is looking good at 2c and whenever Bolland comes back, it may be 3c in his future. That would leave Bolland, Bickell, Shaw, Stalberg, and Saad who could all play that 3rd line position...and do it well in my eyes. I think we see a trade in the future and the guy, who I have been pointing out for a while, that makes the most sense is Stalberg. Saad makes him expandable in some ways and Stalberg is a UFA at the end of this year and is going to command more than he is worth to the Blackhawks. I wouldn't be surprised to see Stalberg go by the deadline this year.

Thought everyone played well for the most part tonight...Saad and Toews did struggle tonight though. Rozsival, Shaw, Bickell and Frolik all looked good playing their roles tonight.

A few nights off and then the Blues on the road. The rest should serve this team well.

Nobody is undefeated good, but at this point, just shy of the half-way mark, this team is legit. And I wouldn't say lucky either, not like we've been aided by refs much or had an insane amount of lucky bounces (except in the San Jose game). Though we've been outplayed probably six or seven times already.

Another game which wasn't pretty but I'll take the 2 points. Solid win against a team that had our number. St. Louis on the road on Thursday is going to be really tough.

And the fact that there's still a 0 in their record tells you just how good this team can be.

Makes perfect sense. Edmonton is probably the only team in the league that can match Chicago's speed.

He won't.

I just don't see how Carcillo fits anywhere other than the 4th line on this team. He just doesn't have the hands to be a Top 6 forward. Yeah he's always willing to throw his body around, but is that really needed on Toews' line? First off, Toews wins faceoffs at an absurd rate. You also have Hossa out there, who gets control of the puck and simply refuses to let it go. I'd also put an obscene amount of money on Toews to win the majority of 50/50 puck battles.

If those two are always in control of the puck, do you really need a third guy whose only real skill is borderline aggression? I think you need a guy with hands. Carcillo is not that guy.

I understand demoting Saad for a bit after a few careless penalties last night. But I don't see why Carcillo should be skating on the top line on Thursday night in St. Louis.
