Got the potential for one hell of a show tonight.
38-15-8, 84 points, t-2nd in Eastern Conference
@
39-18-5, 83 points, 2nd place in Western Conference
Puckdrop - 7:08 p.m.
TV - NBC Sports
Radio - WGN AM 720
Webstream - NBCSports.com
Pick whatever cliche you like, they're likely in effect tonight: playoff-like atmosphere, potential Cup preview, etc. Both teams know that this game isn't really all that important, with each franchise sitting comfortable in a playoff spot (although PIT does have seeding to compete for). But sometimes, near the end of the regular season, you get two really good teams on the ice and they give you a game that reminds you of why you started watching this sport in the first place. All-Stars will be over the nice in both sweaters and the atmosphere at the UC should have an extra edge to it this evening. Here's hoping both teams deliver the performance we know they're capable of. For the Hawks, Darling is in net with Crawford still out and Hjammer has been placed on IR retroactive to February 23, so he's out as well. Trevor Daley and Olli Maatta highlight the injuries for Pittsburgh, as Kris Letang and Conor Sheary could be back tonight. When it's reported, you'll see an update here. Get ready for what could be a fun night.
