That's five wins in a row for the Hawks, including victories over a three of the Top 4 teams in each conference. And all of this without their starting goalie.

Good luck to the rest of the Western Conference in catching these guys.

Well Capt. Donuts finally got a point on an empty net assist. Glad that 10.5m is going to good use.(GRIMSON says hi)

The team went through a massive scoring draught without Toews, that circus trip and then Toews out was fucking terrible. They just kept grabbing points here and there but some games were terrible to watch. We were getting out shot 2-1 for a couple games.

When you consider he might be the best defensive center in the game, top 10 at faceoffs, top 5 at shootouts, top 5 at 3 vs 3. You guys realize Toews is a hockey god still right?
And the leader? And worth every penny and every team in the NHL would pay it if they could right?

Hartman-Toews-Hossa was awesome.
Panarin-AA-Kane is best in hockey arguably
Panik-Kruger-Rasmusenis something to keep an eye on
Desjardins-Hinostroza-Motte seems like it has some scoring and skating potential while sound defensive leadership from Desjardins.

Good to see Hinostroza follow up his game vs St. Louis with another solid one. Could have been the confidence boost he needed. For the most part, over the last 10+ games (before the last 2) he has been pretty ineffective and some time in Rockford was looking like a possibility. Sure, his speed out there shows but it hasn't been creating opportunities and his size is really hurting him when it comes to battling/keeping the puck. Hopefully he can take the last two games and build off them.

Hinistroza's biggest asset IMO is he always seems to be the hardest working player on the ice.

He reminds me a bit of Ben Smith when he was here.

He isn't overly good or bad at any one thing.... but he does work his ass off when he is out there.... which is kinda why he seems to do well playing with Hossa.

Don't get me wrong, you are right that he works hard and his speed is obvious. However, on a team that lacks so much scoring depth, a player like Hinsotroza likely has to provide more than he has been over the last 10+ games. It isn't even fully about getting on the scoreboard but rather creating opportunities, which he hasn't been doing until the last couple. Hopefully he builds off of it because the Blackhawks desperately need more from that bottom 6.

Oh I fully agree.... we have a number of guys who play well and responsible, but are just not making alot happen in the offensive zone and we need them to step it up in that area.

Hinistroza
Rasmussen
Motte
Desjardins
Kruger

I won't add TooToo cause honestly I don't expect him to generate chances.

Hinistroza and Motte are the 2 I would like to see add more offensive chances to our game.... if Schmaltz was still here I would be looking for it from him as well.

Motte started out initially dangerous but hasn't been the same since he went down, while Hinostroza and Hartman have gotten steadily better to the point both are contributing right now.

I like his game, the fact he has taken over center is almost unfathomable, but he is playing better from there. It's promising to see a playmaker from college speed up and speed up and start doing it at this level.

You can almost forget we should have a Dano-Danult-Teuvo line

Why does Panarin look 15 without a helmet, and like a full grown man on the ice?

He the new baby Cherub angel faced precious love of my life. **** Teuvo.

Everyone needs an ambiguous face to think of while banging the wife sometimes, something where your like thinking inside "nah man thats ghey" and you don't ejaculate, but on the other hand you stay hard like you know? Grandma is too much, Panarin is a happy medium, a real cherub chubber.

TT has actually found his stride a little playing between Aho (exciting player to watch) and Stempniak. They have put up some pretty big offensive games. Carolina actually has 3 lines that each have some pop but defense and Ward just aren't there.

Hopefully we don't sign a big oaf to a 4.5M dollar a year contract and then have to trade Schmaltz to get rid of it.

Yea - Blackhawks could have certainly used TT. He is still figuring out consistency and shying away from contact but he has found chemistry with his line. I think maybe the biggest loss from last year is Danault. He would have been some great bottom 6 depth and he even is playing some center in the top 6 with Montreal at times.

The damn salary cap is a killer. Had to be done after Panarin hit that bonus money.

Hino the hero. But yeah I feel a fourth center is the biggest current weakness to address on this team. Danult had better size and flew around the ice with energy too.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the return of Toews helped get players back into more appropriate spots and young guys like Hino started producing again.
