Speaking of the Diamondbacks, I didn't think they'd contend for the division at all. I just didn't see their roster as being one to compete with the likes of the Giants and Rockies. They sure are proving me wrong so far. Along with Cleveland, who's slipping now, they've been the biggest surprise in baseball this year.

I'm holding the optimism that they can still get things going. Whether the front office thinks that is another story. Reinsdorf may be the one looking to sell after his "All In" remarks prior to the season.
Spending the money and seeing results like this would probably lead Kenny to sell some parts.

Not if the sox are in contention, that would kill his stock more than it is right now.
They will sell and buy at the same time. they will sell FA's....guys like Buehrle,Ejax,Pierre, a dumb ass that would take rios, and possibly quentin while his stock is high. Sox got peavy and rios when we were out of contention. Thats just how KW works.

dude...this lack of run scoring is brutal. when we are down by 2 runs i feel like its over. plus we make shit pitchers look like aces all the time, but than we sweep boston in boston. the team is bipolar
