Brooks had a great game, but really needs to learn how to close out a game instead of the quick shots and forcing the lane when the ref's are letting them play. I Loved how Thib's did the defense/offense substitution at the end of the game with Brooks and Moore. I wish he's do this stuff more often with our starters healthy.

Niko needs 6th man minutes even after everyone returns to the lineup.

Mirotic is a Beast. He has progressed nicely and is stepping up when the Bulls need their players to step up.

Final: 97 - 92 Bulls

- Great game by the Bulls tonight.
- Thib's did a good job spreading the minutes around and rotating players.
- Moore showing he is a better option than Kirk, imo.
- Niko showing he's a nitemare matchup problem for teams, imo, and should be the better option than Taj. I really think Taj could be trade bait this off season. Taj and Dunn will free up $11 mil. We'll wait on this, however. :p
- Pau back feeling good again spotting a 20/9.
- McD gets 15 minutes which I Love. Don't understand the hate for his defense at all. He's actually struggling more on offense, but more playing time and he will settle down, imo.
- Jo with another solid effort, and battling Nene... Loved it. Nene with 0 points and 6 fouls!
- Great job by Brooks as well, but please settle down and close a game out for once.
- Overall, great game for the shorthanded Bulls and good job by Thib's as well!

I agree, he's a better option than Taj at this point. I saw him even battling Nene a couple times. He may be a little weak right now, but he's not afraid. If we can get 10-15 lbs of muscle on him next year w/o affecting his mobility, he's gonna be a beast. :yep:

I'm so glad that Doug got a significant amount of run. Be patient, perhaps another couple weeks of this and he'll turn the corner and be a contributor. Kirk...why do you suck? Not even the post All Star break hot streak can save you now.

Gotta say, on paper this didn't look good for us, but we came out with energy and got it done, even though there was that scare late in the 4th. Closed it out without our normal closers. Good growing moment for the team.

Noah has played himself back into shape. He is still having trouble but he is once again becoming a legit force on both ends of the court. I love the guy.

I'm not happy at all. I'm not sure what Dunn's problem is, but I'd like to see McD and Dunn alternate at SF. McD looks fine to me. He's just got that nervous rookie thing going on. He certainly isn't killing the Bulls by being out there like Kirk is, that's for sure.

He'll start making those shots he missing, imo, you don't have to tell me to be patient. I understand it'll take a while for him to settle down, I just want to see him in the game and have a chance to do it.

I'd like to see the guys get him some shots and get him going. I'm convinced he'll be too much of a weapon to not do so. When he gets over the jitters, I really think he'll be dangerous, and at worst, spread the floor for the Bulls. But with Dunn struggling a bit, I think it's imperative to keep getting him some minutes.

Wash hasn't been a good matchup for the Bulls the last two year, including two losses already this year. However, I think Thib's didn't do a lot of 'normal' things, starting with not starting Kirk, and not finishing the game with Kirk. Kirk only played 12 minutes which was not normal.

He also closed the game with Niko, and let Niko play pretty much the entire 4th quarter. Instead, he alternated Pau and Noah. Thib's also alternated Moore and Brooks on defensive subs at the end of the game which was definitely not normal. He never usually does that, he usually sticks way too long with a lineup at the end of games.

He also gave Moore some minutes which was nice, and quite honesty, he's a better defender than Kirk. He of course gave McD some minutes too. I thought Thib's substituted well and I wish he would do that when Rose and Jimmy come back.

He's progressed defensively quite a bit, however he was this talented offensively when he got here. I understand his lack of minutes, but only to a degree. He's way too good to keep off of the floor regardless who is in front of him.
