Bulls interior D is awful. They're also last on the league in offensive rebounds given up, so they get out muscled all the time.

Part of the reason Gasols stats are misleading. I said in a different thread if he would actually box out, he'd probably get 13 or 14 rebounds a game instead of 11. For all the shit Boozer took, at least he was good at boxing out his man and grabbing defensive boards.

Boozer was a phenomenal rebounder...it was everything else he sucked at towards the end.

Yeah that's been painfully obvious since Gasol got here and Boozer left. Defense suffered greatly despite boozer not being a great defender himself, but his rebounding led to less second chance points while Gasol leads to a lot more.

On paper Gasol was a great add. The reality is much different.

Honestly, I chalk it up to age and him being compliance when he feels like he gets fouled. Pau's a good rebounder and has good tools near the basket, but lacks ferocity and hustle when the ball clanks off the rim. Noah was a big part of our rebounding too so there's that. :/ I miss'em already...
