I was reading on an Illini board that everything spiraled out of control with Morez following the Kentucky loss.
Hopefully they get the Ivisic brother from Arkansas. A good 3pt shooter

I see the value with Morez Johnson on the team, but I don’t think you are winning a college basketball championship with him on your roster. He’s a hustle player, but you have to have more to your game than three feet from the basket or you have to be 7’+ and a monster. Morez Johnson is very arhletic, but he’d have to be surrounded by amazing scorers to win a title. I like his game, but the Illini aren’t missing out on Michael Jordan or anything.

You may not be winning with him as your go-to offensive guy, but of course you can win with him on the roster. He's a good rebounder and he's a damn freshman!

I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I think it will ring true. The kid has good qualities, but he’s too short to go against the skilled 7 footers that can block his shot, and he can’t play 4 against most teams because he is a liability against the quicker wings. He’s not skilled or smart offensively, but he can grab offensive rebounds like no other. He’s a Spazz. If we retain Ivisic, I’d rather have a tweener 3/4 to be playing that position.
He needs to find a way to defend the quicker players, which I just don’t see happening, and he has to develop some more offensive moves, which is very hard to do at this stage. Players like him are annoying, but they can be negated with good team ball. Players that can put the ball in the basket need a defender to match. With Johnson, the opposing center doesn’t need to move as much to defend him and can focus on blocking shots, making the opposing defense even better.

He’s a guy that can score without having plays drawn up for him, a glue guy that gets rebounds and protects the rim but somehow you can’t win with a guy like that. Weird.

I hated seeing him win, but it now gives me a shot at winning a pool. I need the Gators to win Monday for two reasons.
And Dook and Cooper Flagg going out with him whining about a call and dissing an opponent trying to shake his hand is glorious.

I missed all of that. I hate Duke. But I hate Sampson more. Not really interested in the final at all. Florida fans are unbearable in the south. They still worship Tebow like a God while they smoke their meth and beat their wives.

In the last 10:31 of the game after being up 13, they made 1 FG. They has a 6 point lead with 33 seconds to go. Ended up down by one with 19 seconds to go. So gave up 7 points in 14 seconds of game time. Those 7 points came after Duke got blocked on a layup, Duke turnover on in-bounds, Duke failed one on one then Duke over the back foul. Just outhustled combined with brain dead play by Duke.
