Illinois is probably going to fall into the 8-10seed area unless they have a big run in the conference tournament. Maybe UW can beat a higher ranked team this time around!
I don’t get how he ran such a fast paced & efficient offense at OSU and then came here and decided to run a slow, methodical, plodding inefficient offense. Very hard to have postseason success just relying on defense and a slow offense, excluding Virginia(although they did lose to a 16 seed and had several other flameouts).

Well, I certainly agree Illinois had some crap losses, but they beat Texas and UCLA and have a better record than MSU but, of course, the pundits project Izzo to get the higher seed.
Illinois could be in so much better shape if not for a few missteps. Getting blown out twice by Penn State is inexcusable.
Yes, a decent BTT run would be a big plus, if not too late.

I just never fully believed in him. The loss to Loyola was unforgivable. He’s just not the guy to get this program back in the Final 4. Most bracketologists have Illinois trending towards the bubble. Massive letdown again by him. His teams play nothing like the Oklahoma State teams he coached.
