Page 6 & 7ish people were talking about living in FL so I thought I would add that too. But, let me elaborate. Also, this is just my opinion. If you or anyone else really like it then sweet
In the 3.5 years that I lived there I came to fucking hate it. The Ft Myers/Cape Coral area is just small enough to not have anything really cool but big enough to have a bunch of crime and be full of fucking lunatics. I moved to FL to be close to a beach but Ft Myers Beach was pretty gross. I have a couple friends that work at the hospital and there were an abnormally large amount(I think) of gang violence, drug problems and just random horrible shit. This isn't anyones fault but mine but I learned that humidity and I weren't going to get along very well. Especially working outside...in the summer. I had only visited there on vacations and didn't take into account that it would be unbearable in the summer
I thought it was cool for the first 6 months or so. I could wear flip flops on Christmas day and at first I didn't have a problem with the beach. But the novelty of that shit wore off quick
Those are the bullet points of why I'm glad I moved away from Ft Myers

Relocated from there in a big hurry, mainly due to the Tiburon golf community in Naples. I got tired of the commute during season, and yes Ft. Myers Beach gets old fast. I can't believe the Lani Kai is still there, what a dump!. The problem with Ft. Myers is the north side of town, not too far from the Red Sox facility. I think Bobby Jenks was recently arrested near a strip club in that area. South Ft. Myers is much nicer, near Bell tower.
But I do love Sanibel and Captiva, and Charlotte county is nice.

When I first moved there, I drove all the way to the end. I don't think they ever built a Publix on the other side of the tollgate, so residents still have to drive to Ft. Myers for shopping I would imagine. The place is timeless, similar to many parts of the keys.
