Yep. It should have been sideline out-of-bounds for the Bulls.
c. If an official inadvertently blows his whistle during (1) a successful field goal or free throw attempt, the points shall be scored, or (2) an unsuccessful field goal or free throw attempt, play shall be resumed with a jump ball at the center circle between any two opponents.

Thanks for pointing that out. That is a very stupid rule...
how about the ref admitting it should have been a foul. i just really don't get the refs sometimes.
Yeah because if the team gets outplayed and we call them out on it, we're not Bulls' fans. That makes perfect sense. You said yourself that you think this series might be over and it's 2-2. I smell a hypocrite.
Then they would have nobody left to officiate games.
Even if Rose got the three points from that play the Bulls still would have lost because they couldn't get stops. No point making a big issue out of something that didn't even affect the outcome of the game at all.
We don't know that for sure. That would've made it a 3pt game and the momentum would've been in our favor. But it's all woulda coulda shoulda anyway. We lost. We have to just beat them up at home then finish it in game 6.
I don't buy it, they hit everything to close out the game. Unless this mysterious momentum was actually going to protect the lane the Bulls still lose easily.

If that one call took the wind out of their sails...they didn't have much wind to begin with. The call may have shifted momentum, but the team has to be mentally stronger than that. You don't stop playing defense because a referee makes a bad call. If that's the case, nobody would play any damn defense...
