Vendetta was a bad choice of a word on my part, but clearly, you dont like the guy. still doesnt excuse your, "but go ahead and worship" statement when the guy made it pretty clear thats not the case.
U must take a few things into consideration. When people speak of hub around here, he's a punchline a running joke if you will. And 2ndly. Its the off season. News is slow. So any news is good news so to speak. Many of us that have been long time posters And follow Chicago sports media, don't put much stock into what Biggs has to say.
I'll take Stoltz ( who you know well) and Bowen. Even though Bowen is more or an analyst. Moon mullin, Hub, and the like are nothing more than comedic relief for most around here.
The general Populous of this board, and the old board, are not Naive when it comes to who's legit and who's not in local sports journalism. Of course there are a few exceptions but most get it. I know this because we've had various threads over the years on the topic.

Oh like the Cutler contract extension that he said was in the process of happening and would be heard about later in the week only Emery and Cutler admitted they didn't start talking about the extension until Monday, but Biggs made his prediction the Sunday before? Yeah that was genius by Biggs to take that quote from Cutler's press conference completely out of context.
More than anything, I'm curious as to your job position then. I don't judge nor find you a bad poster by any means, just curious if you're serious about your info and rights to locker room. What do you do?

Oh, and I'm indifferent towards Biggs. He seems like he'd be a older frat bro for sure. I do like Mike Mulligan(Mully) a lot and wish he wrote articles on a regular basis again. I honestly don't know what that guy does all day besides his 4 hour radio show.. I always appreciate his inside and in my opinion, he has legit sources and league info into a lot of things. I kinda like Moon, too. He actually was the first one I read about who knew the Cutler signing was happening. I believe he reported the night before stating the numbers and years were already worked out.

How pathetic is your wannabe journalist/failed blogging life when you are on the internet at 3 am on a tuesday morning spewing bitter, jealous venom about people reading and quoting brad biggs (and not you)? Guess it's easy to do when you don't have a job to go to the next morning

It has been pretty clear to me since the season ended, that the Bears were going to go with a 4-3 hybrid defense. I don't know why there's so much surprise and doubt. A true 3-4 is to hard to convert to overnight, especially when you have so many 4-3 players either under contract or available for a cheap re-sign.

Aside from being the biggest jackass of them all at Halas Hall, I can promise you that Brad Biggs has no sources that tell him shit. No one in the media nor at Halas Hall even come close to being friendly with Biggs. He's the biggest asshole in Chicago and NO ONE can stand to be around the guy. I was around him for 10 minutes waiting for player interviews outside of the cafeteria last summer and listened to him talk to no one in particular about how the day before he "told some rent a cop off because I've been working here on this beat for the last 12 years, so I can sit where ever I want to site because my press pass says I work for the Chicago Tribune."

Biggs is the biggest fucking hack in the NFL, but go ahead and worship what he has to say because "he's a paid journalist that actually covers the Bears for a living." You won't get anyone to admit in person but no one can fucking stand Biggs, and I promise you, no one will tell him shit.

So do you speak for EVERYONE in Chicago? Do I have to ask for permission to use the bathroom when I have to go? I think you are just pissed because people like Brad Biggs better then they like you and your idiotic "blogs"

When has any media member ever known anything about what Emery is doing?

This guy runs the team like Belichek lite.

Emery is probably feeding Biggs mis-information so he can sneak up on people in free agency.

What possible vendetta could I have against Biggs? The dude is a clueless ass clown, but is the most talked about beat writer on this board.
Well, it's obvious. You strive to be the biggest ass clown mentioned on this site, and you feel Biggs is the only thing between you and the mountain top. Trust me, you are at worst shoulder to shoulder with the guy and rising much faster.

Emery has essentially let everyone know where the Bears D is headed, even by his comments about McClellin. It doesn't take inside knowledge from Halas Hall to understand that...just a couple of ears for hearing and then comprehending what the GM has stated in public...plus the new hires on defensive staff.

So Phil can sneak up and pay full retail? Besides getting old guys coming off injury at LB what bargain has Phil secured?

Brandon Marshall for 2 3rd round picks.

Matt Slauson for 800K

Jermon Bushrod for 7 million a season is a steal for an NFL LT.

Martellus Bennett out played his contract in a big way.

Lets not forgot the drafting of Alshon Jeffery, Kyle Long, Jordan Mills who are going to be huge players in the future.

Emery is going to overhaul the defense. But I don't think it's possible to switch to a 34 in one year given the crop of free agents and draft this year. He could easily install a group that could play a hybrid system though and perhaps move more towards a true 34 in 2015.

We'll begin to see by who he targets in FA. if he signs Bennett, we'll assuming they're mostly sticking. If he signs Art Jones or Lamar Houston it's more likely he's going to a hybrid.

I think if he's intending to switch there's a pretty good chance Briggs is cut as well. Not sure how he'd enjoy the change or how he'd fit in. He also has a cut-friendly contract this year.

If only Biggs wrote for MidwayIllustrated, then maybe BF51 would take him seriously

I was talking free agency as per your post.

I stand corrected, Slauson was a bargain. I think Bush and Bennett got market value, not to say he overpaid but he didn't get a steal.

I am in the minority and would have rolled with Webb for a million. I would have spent that Bushrod money on pass rush like Seattle.

Slauson being a bargain worked out nicely, but he was a player that no one else wanted. Not even Emery wanted to take Slauson, he wasn't even a priority free agent. When Lance Louis signed with the Dolphins Emery had to target someone to replace Louis...he looked around for a while before finally settling on Slauson. Should he get a lot of credit for signing a guy no one else wanted not including himself?

Not even Emery wanted to take Slauson...So he takes Slauson

Even though he signed him before the 2013 draft along with Bushrod...He had no other choices.

Brilliant....WoW
