I have for long wanted to see New Orleans be the Jazz again - but Utah is never going to give that name up.
Even though it makes absolutely no sense - almost as little sense as the main team in L.A. being called "The Lakers" when that name clearly fits Minnesota more than "Timberwolves." There's no way the Lakers are giving that name up either. Too much duration - too much tradition - too much history.
But when it comes to the Bobcats, for me, that's got to be the absolute worst team name in the league, if not all of sports (though the Minnesota Wild could run them a pretty good race).
We all know Robert Johnson, when he was the GM just went and named the team after HIMSELF (Seems arrogant but the fact he was the first African American owner was monumental...just wish he would have let someone ELSE honor him instead of....you know, himself?)
Oh well, I'm just glad Robert Johnson's first name isn't Richard...
