We got the final approval. It's just a matter of getting all the citizenship paperwork done and we will have our son. Probably about 6 months until we travel according to our social worker. We have about $2500 left in fees out of the original $24,000. Then it's just plane tickets and hotel.

We got the final approval. It's just a matter of getting all the citizenship paperwork done and we will have our son. Probably about 6 months until we travel according to our social worker. We have about $2500 left in fees out of the original $24,000. Then it's just plane tickets and hotel.

One piece of advice: Make sure you keep track of all your adoption expenses and hold on to every receipt. If you apply for the adoption tax credit, there's a good chance you're going to get audited.
