Is it possible Leno could out play Bushrod at LT?

How great would it be for us if Leno turns out to be a good LT for us? It would solve a lot of head aches and Bushrod might even be better at a G spot or RT at this point in his career.

If that was the case, then Pace's first draft was a home run even with Kevin White's injury

ND is horrible.
Just my opinion, but we should move Tillman to FS

Oh, and the tB10 sucked and tOSU had no shot at making the playoff 11 months ago, we know.

Anyway, I want to see at least 2 more games against different types of edge guys/schemes before getting too excited, but I must admit he exceeded my expectations by a mile. If we have our 2 OT's on our roster right now, that would be a huge coup for this rebuild, and allow us to go after an elite edge guy, corner or QB in this draft. We might even be able to wheel and deal and try to get 2 of them lower in the 1st.

Now, if Fuller can just keep playing better......

I am almost seeing a light at he end of this tunnel!!

Sunday will be a good test for him being On the road against Houston and Hali. If he can become an good LT that would be huge for us going into the future.

But fans also have to be careful not to overreact the other way if he struggles. Those guys have made a lot of great left tackles look foolish.

Leno looked really good Sunday, though. Obviously it's only 1 game but he showed some good things especially in pass protection. I'm not adverse to giving him a shot going forward. Bushrod has had a ton of back problems, I'd just as soon see what you have in Leno and let Bushrod rest up.

I wonder if Bushrod could play guard, he's always been a better run blocker then pass blocker and he's clearly not as athletic as he used to be.

I really dont care how good Leno does this season but next season the Bears LT needs to be either Kyle or or a very good FA or a high draft pick. The bears need to build the best oline the can now that they have a quality group of skill position players. Leno is at least a keeper as a backup or maybe a guard. Obviously his forte is pass blocking not run blocking so maybe LG is his best spot but Slauson is doing great there.

Yep. And they should have done it this year but that is over. They need to draft an OT high in the draft. this is the reason that I would hope that they get a chance to trade down for two number ones in the draft.

Bushrod seems to be breaking down physically at a rapid pace.

He might not be an option at any position next year.
