Is there anyone that thinks the Bears can be Super Bowl contenders next year?

No. At this moment in time they are not contenders even for the playoffs.

Yeah no.

They aren't hopelessly far from one, but you have to pick a side of the ball and stack it., And the Bears are closer on offense than they are on defense. Need that damn QB though.

Absolutely NO.
They don't have a HC that can get the O going well. Nagy sure has no influence on the D. He can't fix a QB. He can't call plays to fit the players. His O doesn't exploit weaknesses in opponents D. He make few successful changes at half time.
Other than that, things are fine. Hah!

Yeah I'm pretty sure they can be. Not sure they will be.

Nope, aside from having a QB that isn't really trusted to complete more than a 10 yard pass against our biggest rivals, they are old (and pricey) on defense. Can you imagine if we had 25 year old versions Hicks and Mack and a competent opposite end? Yeah, neither can I.

The only way is if they can get the D back to 2018 level....to do that, get Goldman back, hope Quinn gets healthy and rebounds to 10+ sacks, same with Mack.... Jaylon takes next step and dominates like a Jaire Alexander.... and hope no big injuries

The O has shown that it can get to top 15 production if they can add another weapon at WR and a OT (and get Trubs/ARob back).... run the ball, play PA and play great D ....this O can score 20-23 points a game and this D can hold teams to 17-20 they have a shot....

That's the fastest/surest way for next year.... if the ydecide to make changes at HC and/or QB, forget about it..... you have to re-start the process

you need people to call great plays to put players in positions to succeed.

it's not 12 dimensional chess.

This is a well thought out and reasonable answer.

Meh, the bitching about coaching here lately is way overblown. Not saying it isn't part of the problem but it's just gone overboard IMO.
