Is this a case of the Bulls standing pat, or.....

Weren't you bitching all the time about how people didn't have faith in the Bulls to win this year? Didn't you pick us to win it all? I swear you did.
I felt that this team (when healthy, and I always said that) could beat anyone. I was wrong on that and have said so.

So Rose goes down & all of the sudden everyone on the roster sucks?
It wasn't just Rose going down, their flaws were exposed and the need for a second go-to player (which was supposed to be Boozer) was made plainly obvious.

People on here are seriously acting like everything is over. We haven't even seen what this current team can do for 2 years now.
We have seen what they can do, and they are just good enough to make the conference finals, but that's it.

It's a shame because we probably won't ever since Rose will be out the majority of next year. Of course I think the roster needs improving, but I don't think for a second that we couldn't have made the Finals this season & possibly won if Rose was healthy.

I felt the same way going into the playoffs, but now I don't. Especially since teams are improving around the Bulls while they are trying to bring Hinrich back.

I honestly think a lot of it is that no one wants to come here. You hear about guys being willing to take pay cuts to play elsewhere like Miami, LA, Boston, etc...but NEVER here. We're hardly on anyone list. And those whose list we're on isn't very promising. I understand that the financial situation limits who we can target, but if Ray Allen said hey I'll play in Chicago for $3M I'd actually be surprised. I would not be surprised if he said I'll play in Miami for $3M (or less).
THIS!!!!!!

I don't like putting too much pressure on the FO to make moves(just to say that we made a big move). The last time, was a desperation signing that landed us Boozer. But if they weren't like us, and I truly believed they didn't want to improve this team, then yeah, pressure it up.

Boozer was seriously overhyped as a target, BY THE FANS, before we signed him. He was supposed to fix our post presence needs, according to the overwhelming amount of fans that wanted him. :fist:

If the front office is pressured that much by fans/media to make moves, then the front office the Bulls have is even dumber than I thought.

They are dumb, because they have pressure? :dunno:

No, they're dumb if they let people outside the organization make decisions for them.

That is how the force of a market works.

So Pat Riley was pressured into getting the big 3 together?

That big 3 came together before FA, and decided to play together. Pat Riley's credit is debatable, because if he had this kind of power, then the Heat would have been bringing in big-3's long before Wade was drafted.

the whole orchestration began when the three played together in the olympics in 08

i don't really think riley had much to do with the 3 coming together

You COULD say that he knew they were gonna do so and thus dismantled the roster by pretty much giving away everyone for enough cap space to sign them all. :dunno:

That's about as much credit as I'll give him...he made the moves necessary to make the big 3 happen.
