So I seem to have a tendency to date men that turn out to be massive liars and manipulators. One guy completely neglected to tell me that he had a 12 year old kid. Then a guy I was interested in turned out to have an order of protection between him and his ex.

I only found these things out by their slip ups which got me curious so now I look up every guy I consider on the circuit clerk's website. Am I being a psycho? I feel like I'm just protecting myself from the plethora of nutbags that are you there?

It isn't crazy, but don't underestimate a person's ability tochange and remember that people you meet are just as insecure as you are.

Eh, nothing wrong with being cautious. Last winter I was seeing a chick that didn't bother telling me she was seeing other people. I found that out by driving past her house on the way to meet my buddy's wife at the bar (it was on the way, so it wasn't like I took an alternative route just to check up on her or anything) and saw her making out with some random on her porch. Of course she denied it. Suffice to say that I don't speak to her anymore.

People seem to be assholes in general with a few exceptions, so I can't say I blame you for doing some research. Your choice in men on the other hand is completely your fault. :yep:

If they've been charged with beating the shit out of their exes or been in a paternity suit or had a divorce. I just don't trust anyone I guess!

Over 50 pct of people who get married get divorced, so i guess you can weed out half the men you meet and then find out why the men left are not the marrying type...

Lol that right there is why I didn't try to date for my first year and a half out of college.... "Dude, why aint you dating anyone".... Umm cause I don't wanna ask my mom if its cool if a girl comes over...
