An 88 QBR is not bad for a 2nd year QB and he likely will have a 90+ QBR at the end of the season. Considering his first season with Urban was a shit show its way too early to call Lawrence a bust and he probably will develop into at least an average starter.

2 interceptions against arguably the worst team in the NFL. Couldn't even throw it 50 yards on a hail mary.

Think he's played like what....20 games now? Thats enough to label someone a bust, right? Right?!

Lets see what the resident QB expert @Black Rainbow thinks
Kind of a dumb way to prop up Fields considering Fields against the same team that is "arguably the worst team in the NFL" also had 2 int and played much worse then Lawrence.

I think you need to work on your reading comprehension, this thread is clearly about trevor lawrence and not justin fields.
Then you should of put OT in the thread title.. If its not OT and its about a QB then its about a comparison to Fields.. and the fact you @ BR someone who has been critical of Fields (rightfully so) we all know why you did it.. It just wasn't very well thought out.. And pointless after a game Fields improved in..

Couldn't tell you. I don't follow the Jags.

I don't really see the need to label threads "OT" anymore if they are NFL related.

I think we have gotten to the point where (just about) all professional football content is welcome in this forum because the subforum experiment was a massive failure.

I think it's a little weird that there's a FTO tag on threads on a football message board. I'm also uncertain how @Black Rainbow got the title of authority of quarterback matters or whatever.

but don't mind me though, I've been labeled "guy who critiques people for talking about football on a football message board"

I agree, but without the OT then Bears related talk is welcome. We all know why he made the topic anyway it just didnt work out for him..

It's funny how ppl keep doing this. Lawrence being bad doesn't make Fields look better.

And there is a chance that none of the QBs in the 2021 draft class turn out elite.

I agree that this being a Bears board first and foremost, a Justin Fields comparison was inevitable and totally fair play.

And my comparison is both are young developing QBs that got drafted into bad situations that is hopefully less bad for each this season as they continue to strive to be successful in the NFL and far too early to use the B word in any case.

Hell, even Zack Wilson looked pretty good coming back from the injury.

Its like they dont even put any thought into the quest to prop up Fields with whatever comparison they are making. Usually it backfires and makes Fields look worse once you actually look into the comparison.. just like with this last attempt lol

Or it's more about how young QBs are going to have ups and downs. And maybe some people should calm the **** down and be patient, and not come running to the forums cunting about every single mistake a young QB makes, because it has turned certain people into completely insufferable idiots. Know what I mean?

If anything, it's more damning that he ONLY put up 6 points against that defense and had 5 turnovers including 4 fumbles the week before.

Yes young QBs will have ups and downs. Fields unfortunately has been mostly downs. Is cunting about every mistake better or worse then blaming his mistakes on everyone else?

Worse, because you do the former and literally nobody is doing the latter.

It's kind of like asking which is worse, being an asshole all the time or being a sparkly pink flying narwhal all the time.
