Kind of a dumb way to prop up Fields considering Fields against the same team that is "arguably the worst team in the NFL" also had 2 int and played much worse then Lawrence.
But he won.

I think it's a little weird that there's a FTO tag on threads on a football message board. I'm also uncertain how @Black Rainbow got the title of authority of quarterback matters or whatever.

but don't mind me though, I've been labeled "guy who critiques people for talking about football on a football message board"
I agree. I get the OT title, but to me having an FTO advisory on a football message board is a little strange. Whatever though.

Yes young QBs will have ups and downs. Fields unfortunately has been mostly downs. Is cunting about every mistake better or worse then blaming his mistakes on everyone else?

There are a few people that blame everyone but Fields. There are way more people that blame no one but Fields. Both are fucking stupid.

He's inexperienced, has no weapons, is playing with inexperienced coaches, and lots of inexperienced players. It's going to take time, and there will be lots of mistakes. If that's blaming everyone else, then the people that get butthurt about that can eat a dick. But getting all butthurt and making post after post about how terrible Fields is, is just being plain stupid. People just need to chill the **** out and be better.

My favorite are the people that complain about making excuses for Fields while at the same time making excuses for everyone else on the team lol

Especially when it comes to everyone being young/rookies/inexperienced. Including WRs, TEs, OL, coaches. Plenty of excuses to go around, and that's fine.

I have definitely been critical of Getsy the most this season. But I also recognize that this is his first year as a playcaller, and just as Fields is dealing with subpar talent all around him, so is Getsy. It's also fair to say, just like with every player, they need to be better. And you hope to see progression as the season goes along.

At the same time, 2/3 of my posts here aren't going to be me cunting about Getsy even in threads that aren't about Getsy. How many times have you seen some fucking dipshit post in a thread about our defense or some shit, "Does it even matter if we have a defense if our QB is a bust???" ?

I don't really see the need to label threads "OT" anymore if they are NFL related.

I think we have gotten to the point where (just about) all professional football content is welcome in this forum because the subforum experiment was a massive failure.
I miss the Cutler subforum

It's weird how obsessed these dorks are with Fields. I saw one the those haters try to turn a whole ass thread about a 5th round rookie LT into grievances about people saying Fields could be good right after *checks notes* Fields does good.

Sir this is a Braxton Jones thread....

An 88 QBR is not bad for a 2nd year QB and he likely will have a 90+ QBR at the end of the season. Considering his first season with Urban was a shit show its way too early to call Lawrence a bust and he probably will develop into at least an average starter.
Passer rating. His QBR is 52. That said, you're correct about the rest but Lawrence is in a better position than Fields with his OL and WRs. Similar point in their rebuild but weren't in the cap hell Pace left here.

I don't follow the Jags, but I noticed today they've been winning, and the stats for this season...

Passing wise, Trevor was always more refined even coming out of college. But QBR has them at nearly identical scores when taking into account JF’s rushing abilities. Fields will get there no matter how much you doubt him

Define "get there."

Passer rating in the high 90’s but still making a high % of explosive plays. He’s always going to be a guy that gets sacked a lot but having a QB that makes explosive plays is more important than having a game manager.

Hopefully we start seeing some explosive wins.

Jax has won 4 out of their last 5. I guess they saw some value in winning games over tanking 8 games in a row.

The jaguars are a year further in their rebuild, if not two. They have much more talent on their roster.

What are you even trying to argue right now?

How many years in a row has Jax’ville tanked until this year? Also look at his division. Not exactly a murderer’s row when the division winner might just have a losing record. If you aren’t happy about Bears tanking this season, then you’re simply not a knowledgeable football fan. 2023 will show JF1 is Chicago sports next #23. Take it to the motherfucking bank.
