How many years in a row has Jax’ville tanked until this year? Also look at his division. Not exactly a murderer’s row when the division winner might just have a losing record. If you aren’t happy about Bears tanking this season, then you’re simply not a knowledgeable football fan. 2023 will show JF1 is Chicago sports next #23. Take it to the motherfucking bank.

Would you rather them pick 5th or 1st? Does a meaningless win(or 2) this season have any bearing on 2023? Does it improve their chances of being competitive? None at all. End discussion.

Just nice to see both looking like they belong. There's a reason Trevor was the #1 going into that draft. The big issue is, why were 2 others taken before Justin. Dumping on Trevor early this year was just as wrong as dumping on Justin. Both are now looking the part but Trevor was more NFL pocket ready and has a clearly better cast to play with right now.

DVOA has Coroline OL mid pack and the Bear dead last in pass protection. Bear have also had problems keeping WRs on the field with only one starter quality catcher playing most of the year and of late, no starter quality players. Team game and both have elevated the play of their units during the last 1/2 of this season. If you want to dump on Fields, compare to someone taken after him, not before, because he's winning most of those.

Any other comparative narratives are just dickheads spewing for self gratification.

I was told by some jag offs on here that Lawrence only went #1 overall because he was white.

I'm just happy we got one of them. We won't know who's better for a couple more years, if then. As long as they get mentioned together in a positive light, I'm good.

They will always be 1A & 1B. The way it’s been since high school

I'm not talking about winning the last two games. Obviously, that doesn't help.

Jacksonville snapped a 5 game losing streak mid-season and has been 5-2 since then. I would rather see a sign of life from my team, and my young QB turning the corner from a passing perspective towards the end of year two, then get a top five draft pick.

Posters here started rooting for losing out around week five.

Jax has several years of top draft picks. Bears have been mired in mediocrity Purgatory since 2018 draft, therefore never getting top draft picks. I was hoping for this exact scenario before the season as I knew it was a too heavy draft for QB’s which means a jackpot of draft picks for teams that trade down. Fields just needs to refine his passing some more, but a good trade down is imperative. Jax can enjoy winning the AFC South and get pick 20. They will probably end up with a record close to their record this year in 2023. Poles, Flus & Fields don’t get a pass to tank again next year. Must show a lot more.

Well, we agree on the trade down. At this time I think that's the best move.

I agree, but without the OT then Bears related talk is welcome. We all know why he made the topic anyway it just didnt work out for him..
We know you’re rooting for Lawrence over fields for all the WHITE reasons

now look the INT per pass attempt and see how that would go..
It’d be the same

Oops spoke to soon, Fields would be slightly higher. More skewed by that last packers game

I’ve said Lawrence has been playing extremely well but he does have more than Fields and next year he gets a legit number 1 target in Ridley, we don’t know what Fields will get yet

He’ll get the next great white hope in the preseason! Who will it be this time?

An 88 QBR is not bad for a 2nd year QB and he likely will have a 90+ QBR at the end of the season. Considering his first season with Urban was a shit show its way too early to call Lawrence a bust and he probably will develop into at least an average starter.
Lawrence is okay and may become a top 15 QB but has no where near the athleticism or overall talent as JF. Too stiff like a statue.

I expected more wins. The closeness of so many games and high points scored would indicate that was not a ridiculous idea. With a little luck in terms of health at OL, WR and DB, this team could have easily won a half dozen games. They were 2-4 when the Offense started clicking against the Pats (and became 3-4) only to lose the pass rush and watch DBs go down like flies. Same with WR and OL. I would suspect that losing our star D players and probably being near the top of player games lost to dings has played a significant role here, especially when the backups are PS guys.

**** all of you. I’ve been watching these Bears for going in 50 years and this kids is the best I’ve ever seen at QB. Think about the absolute shitshow at QB the Bears have been. Think about this kid at QB with that 85 o line.
some people just can’t accept what’s right in front of their ow eyes…

Didn’t Jacksonville spend a ton on WR this off season? Pretty sure there were a number of posters or threads about comparing teams that spent at WR to others at the end of the season. NE was a flop but they don’t have an OC and mac Jones kinda sucks

Think we need to bump some of those posts ?
