Receiving yes. Blocking yes. Bench press who cares. Bigger and stronger, yes. Faster no. What do you all think? I wanted Brock in the first but am thinking Warren could be better than Taylor Swift's bf.

Yes. If Warren was on that Georgia team, he would be getting the same hype if not more.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
Bowers is better. He is quicker, harder to cover, and has better hands. Warren is bigger, a better runner with the ball, and more versatile. Both are first round talents that would be amazing in a Bears uniform.

Lol no. Brock was dominating as a freshman in a run first offense, Warren didn't do much of anything until this last year.
This doesn't mean he cant be as good or even better, its just that scouts were not salivating over him in his freshman year (@bearsfan1977) like they did with Bowers. Bowers was even discussed here as a freshman, most didn't even know Warren's name until the USC game.

This. Bowers was a vastly better prospect and started dominating competition the second he arrived on campus.

Warren did fuckall his first 4 seasons and then exploded in his 5th year. I personally think he’s one of the most overrated players this draft. He’s good, but I just don’t see it with him as far as a top 10 pick.

Yeah, everyone knew Bowers was elite early on. Even as a freshman, he was usually the best player on the field. A true blue-chip prospect.

He was one of the guys I’d hoped they had drafted. I don’t think there are any Raiders fans who regret that pick.

Tbf, I don’t know much about Warren. He was dominant last year, that’s for sure, but only 1 year of elite production gives me pause.

I’m more skeptical of him being a 5th year senior

Warren is likely going to be a fine player, but he's not Bowers as a prospect. You can just see it in the way they move before and after contact that Bowers is in a different league in terms of agility, acceleration, and shiftiness. And Bowers is actually younger, too.

I don't buy this narrative that Warren is a "one year wonder" though. He obviously had a huge year this year (one of the best ever for a college TE really), but last year he had 422 yards and 7 TDs, which is pretty solid for a college TE and was 1st in TDs and 2nd in yards and catches on that Penn State team.

Okay guys, I'm officially OUT on Warren now because he wasn't Bowers until he stayed in college for a 5th year.

But I'm still going to meet @KittiesKorner in a crowded bar and slap him several times before he squats me.
