Will Anderson highlights are definitely impressive, but many of his highlights are free rushes at the QB/RB as a result of Bama's overwhelming defensive talent.
Very few of his highlights are self made via bull rush, superior hand fighting talent or bending at the edge. That plus his LB type size makes him much more suited as an OLB than a DE. With the Bears running a 4-3, I would worry his 6'4" 243 lb frame would be easily dominated by rushing straight at him.

If a QB and Carter go 1 and 2, can the Bears take a stand up edge rusher and #3 OA and change the defense to suit his game or do the go with a traditional 4-3 DE like Myles Murphy.

Frankly, Murphy seems to create more of his own havoc vs benefit from others havoc like Anderson.

You be the judge.

You judge.

Great clips and thanks for posting. Floyd's only move was the speed rush. Anderson can go outside and also dip back inside with agility and a spin move. I would like to see more of a bull rush from him but he isn't the one trick pony that Floyd was.

I think Tyree Wilson will be up there too.

Straight out of central casting for the Bears:

1. Not who the fans want.
2. Perfect physical specimen for a 4-3 end.
3. Old
4. Pre-injured

Does he have more sacks than Will Sutton?

Haha. And I’ve seen a ton of Clemson fans say he’s overrated. Who the **** knows…

Certainly not me. Pro scouts look silly more often than not and they put all of their time and energy into these evaluations….unlike me, who watches random games and highlight videos

A lot of those plays in the run game is against the zone read. He just attacks the mesh point, but he's in control to change directions if the QB pulls the ball. That's a very important trait and much more of a useful skill than being able to hold up against power runs right at him. Most teams don't do that anymore anyway.

In the pass game, he is a pure speed guy. He is going to win with his speed. I wonder if we would see a lot of wide 9 from him if drafted by the Bears. He's also deadly in stunts with his quickness.

I don't agree with your assessment that he benefits from others havoc. He's plenty good on his own and easily better than Murphy IMO.

I'm not educated on both of these guys enough to really make a call, but that highlight tape for Murphy was impressive. Seems like he had that Robert Quinn bend going a few times which isn't something every edge rusher can do

Can't remember where I read it, but I've seen some comments on him that he takes a lot of plays off. I could be confusing him with Bresee, but it was out there. Of course, he *at this moment* seems to be a consensus top-10 pick.

Bresee is all effort. Taking plays off is not an issue with him. It was definitely Murphy. He's going to be a monster at the combine, especially at that size. But I do question effort sometimes and definitely awareness at times.

Unfortunately, a hatred of Dabo keeps me from watching many Clemson games so I have to read about it, or base it off of people who post here that know more than I do (which is a great number). I enjoy your comments on Bresee.

Interesting break down. I mostly agree with it. I think he's a better prospect than Hutchinson, but he's not generational like Chase Young was a few years ago, which ultimately, isn't a big issue. His developed run D and his hand usage are what really excites me. Well beyond his years there. If he develops a little more and gets rid of those false steps, there's no reason he can't be a double digit sack guy in the NFL.

I fear he might be on the “clowney” path. Not a bust by any means but won’t live up to the draft hype
