Rizzo should have been sent home there. Hopefully it doesn't matter and Happ brings him home.

Why does Bote play everyday? He does nothing at a high level.
He is a ui with a career ops+ of 100 that can play multiple positions. He is what ever team wants

Well that was boneheadedly stupid.....who better on the team to get a DP grounder than Hendricks? Wick is a fly ball pitcher. A rookie manager being a rookie manager.

Regardless, tough to watch them when they swing the bat at near everything.....

Oh no worries we’re down two, but we’ve got Phegley and Almora due up.

So... Schwarber leading off and not hitting for Almora or Ed Phegley Jr?

I'll say this, 2016 spoiled me. If they are playing boring baseball, I no longer feel obligated to watch them if they do not entertain. I got better things to do.

Bryant is NOT a clutch hitter. He is one of the worst high leverage situation hitters in baseball...and he is at his absolute worst vs the Cubs main rivals...Cards and Brewers. Just check the numbers. I said before that something had to break this year. With all the games vs division rivals either Bryant continues his horrible hitting vs Cards and Brewers and ends up with a terrible season...or he breaks the spell and hits his usual 270-282 average. So far...it's the worst case scenario. Still hitting under the Mendoza line...with meaningless hits in non clutch situations. Hope he breaks out of it...but you've got a bunch of guys who can't hit. Baez hovering around .200...Contreras 0 for his last 13 or whatever...Bote worthless at the plate. Almora? .118 in limited action. This lineup scares nobody. Only guys hitting at all are Kipnis...Rizzo and Happ. Can't win like that.

Baez just struck out on a ball that hit the dirt 3 feet in front of the plate. Dear Lord.
