Steward failed at losing the game. Joc was saying no no no to that.

They won a game with that bad outing, I'll take it!

Sometimes you just have to out score your opponent....you don't always get well pitched games. To me, other than the lock down bullpen....that's been the biggest change I've seen in this team. There haven't been a lot of games the last few years that you actually thought the Cubs would or even could come back from an early deficit.

please try and remain calm guys.
You know how I know it was a great at bat? Cards' announcer Danny McLaughlin, as biased and petty as they come, couldn't help talk about what a great at bat it was.

Must be absolute torture......over the years I've been forced to listen to the one sided banter of Buck(former Cardinal announcer), Smoltz(former Cardinal pitcher) and of course the town idiot Tim McCarver(former Cardinal catcher). It must drive you nuts.

Good Lord.....find a stream that has other coverage or just turn off the sound. The blind love for anything Cardinal red will drive you crazy otherwise.

I'm curious if it's possible the Angels would trade Ohtani. My guess is no way in hell given they have Trout and wanna win but he'd be one hell of a trade deadline gambit because you not only get him as a pitcher but you get his bat which matters in the NL more

Ohtani likes to hit, doubtful he'd come to the nl

Cubs Option Kohl Stewart, Recall Trevor Megill

By TC Zencka | June 12, 2021 at 3:48pm CDT

The Cubs have optioned Kohl Stewart to Triple-A and recalled Trevor Megill, per Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune (via Twitter).
Stewart has been a spot starter for the Cubs this season, his first with the club after being signed as a minor league free agent. The 26-year-old former Minnesota Twin has made three starts giving up eight earned runs in 12 2/3 innings with 10 strikeouts to two walks, though he has also hit two batters.
Megill has two scoreless innings under his belt this season, his first action at the big league level. Megill was a seventh round draft choice of the Padres back in 2015.

this is a move that I would love. But yeah, the angels are unlikely to move him. And the cost would be too high to get them to part with him I’m sure.

Oh, I don’t even turn to the channel covering the Cards without first muting.

But yesterday I was watching a specific point of the replay and wanted the sound.

But on a regular basis, I always mute. The same strategy I employed with college basketball on ESPN to avoid Dick Vitale 10 years ago. I have never regretted either decision.
