Knew this would be a tough game to win

Hendricks has to get better or the Cubs are going to have to dip into the trade pool
Hendricks didn't pitch too bad.. yea he gotta go deeper in games and 3 walks hurt but he only gave up 2 runs..

Needed the hitters to put a few on the board but Coles shut them down tonight...

Im still wondering why montero moved behind the plate to catch that ball from fowler and left the front of plate open for an easy slide in and late tag.. rewound a couple times, it looked like if he set up in front he would've had a chance. ..

He's their #5. He's been fine. Thus far he's pitched twice against PIT who are an 11-10 team excluding today, once against SD(11-12) and COL(11-9). His ERA looks crappy but his FIP has been strong at 3.29.

Funny how much perception is reality....had to take the wife out shopping....came back and Jackson pitching and immediately knew things weren't going well.

Germen will be sent down when Grimm/Ramirez return. Who do you think the 2nd arm will be? I'm think Rosscup has earned himself a spot. I think Coke could be gone

Sadly, he was the only pitcher to not give up a run

He even pitched 2 innings

The Cubs just need to stay the course until the deadline. The Cardinals have feasted on the likes of Cinci, the Brewers, Philly and the Nationals. All teams with losing records.

Get us to the deadline starting with winning the Brewers series, and there will be pitching somewhere available. Right now, the Cubs IMO don't have enough depth to overcome any injury to the starting rotation.

The Cubs are a very good pitcher away form being a very good, well rounded team.
