I love yall but 162 game season. Do you understand that the Cubs have th best run differential since the the 1940's? Do you know they are always beating teams at a 2.6 run differential. The 1927 Yankees beat teams at a 2.4 run differential. That is fucking nuts. Enjoy the ride boys because they are fucking better than any Cubs team you have ever seen.

Pretty sure their run differential is on pace to be the best of all time. I believe the 39 yankees at +2.72 per game had the highest run differential. So, I guess they aren't quite on pace to beat that just yet though they were earlier in the year. Thing is, they still have a lot of bats that haven't woken up. Heyward, Montero, Rizzo and lately Russell haven't been hitting like they can.

@TheCCO: #Cubs vs. #Braves, Wisler (6/11):
Fowler CF
Heyward RF
Bryant 3B
Rizzo 1B
Zobrist 2B
Coghlan LF
Montero C
Russell SS
Arrieta P

Looks like a winning lineup to me

Offensive explosion today

I've been around a long ass time and they are not only the best Cub team I've seen but the most fun to watch. So much so, that other than a pitcher or two...I have a hard time complaining about anything they do or don't do. You can see the effort is always there, win or lose.

Well ive been a fan a long time too and seen my share of horrid cubs teams, but even though im enjoying their great season so far im still a fan and im still going to bellyache after a game when they lose to teams they should be easily beating or during a game when the have 2nd and 3rd no outs and top of order up and don't score .

To me as a fan of this team , whether their a .500 team or 20 over.. i still want to see them beat weak teams and expect them to execute and drive in runners from third with less then 2 outs.

How many times has that happened? The Cubs have hit in to less than 20 double plays all season. You do realize you are watching a historic team? I mean I am sorry to beat a dead horse but holy ball sack. Besides being all all stars. This team is like the globetrotters of the league and the majority of the players are 26 or under. Every week you want to trade for a new person and keep saying random things. Its like a guy who gambles and wins and instead of being happy that he won. He thinks of the money he could have won. You are seeing an incredible season that is only going to get better to watch. I dont know what you want people to say. They arent good? Its not going to happen.

Just the statement "teams they should easily be beating" is enough to make me wonder if certain fans follow or understand baseball.

They lost a game to Bud Norris, who was very sharp. He has been bad this season, but has long been a guy who can be really tough. (ask Cards fans. He is kryptonite to their team)

Baseball is unlike other sports in that bad teams knock off good teams more often, due in large part to the fact one guy can control a game. It happens.

If the Cubs do win the WS, there will be a large number of fans celebrating in October (Nov?) who found a way to not enjoy May or June. Sad.

Not to say there is any guarantee. Not at all. But if they have a 100 win season and no WS,I won't spend it bitching every day.

Went to Wrigley in May, and it was electric. Going Sat and Sun this next weekend, and can't wait.

Enjoy it!

Holy ball sack, youre the only one who constantly gets upset over what i say....

Who cares how many DP they hit into...

Never said i wasn't enjoying the winning and all..

Heaven forbid during an in game thread when we're talking about THE GAME that we bellyache over something negative that just happened.. i didn't realize we're only supposed to see rainbows and unicorns during every game.

Im not complaining about anything about what anyone says like you do..
why would i want someone to say their not good?

All my comments you moan about are during a game and situations in the game that happens, not about the team.
You know, when we have discussion in the IN GAME thread.

if they didn't get a runner in from third most of us say damn wasted opportunity there.
If they lose a close game to a shitty team, most of us say at the end of the game , damn how can they lose to a shitty team.
That what fans say, and that what you talk about in a IN GAME thread..

Ive mentioned two possible trades all year...

Trade for a LFer and a trade with the Yankees for a reliever.
Unless youve been running around with the unicorns chasing rainbows so has just about every baseball sportscast out there now.

So, i dont know why you're trying to categorize me as one of those posters who just here to belittle the team no matter what. Not even close .. all ive been doing is what we do as fans during a game and talk about each game and situations during the game.

Whatever...
Some of you can come on here and pretend that you dont say wtf at home when something negative happens during a game or was disappointed when they couldn't do shit against a pitcher that was 1-7 with an ERA over 5 because you don't want the treatment im getting..

Obviously over a course of the year their going to lose and have bad games, it doesn't mean as a fan you can't be disappointed when it happens..it natural..
I mean when did cubs fans turn into Cardinal fans where your fanhood gets taken away because you get disappointed in something during a game.
