Yea, his legs. They just dont want to push him. They did the same thing when he was in the minors this season. Soler has not played a ton of ball over the past 3 or 4 years. He didnt play for like a year and a half before he came to the Cubs. Then he got hurt last year and then this year. They are just being really cautious and building up his endurance and baseball muscles.
Any game logs on this for the minors???

If this is the reason tgey should seriously consider trading him asap

You can look it up. He would have rest edays because they are doing different things for his leg muscles. Also, no they will not trade him because they are being cautious. Ridic

Baseball ref didn't have them which is why I asked

If he has hammy probs they ain't getting better and should be dealt. Youd get a good return

If it was chronic I would be concerned. That was happening to Leon Durham where he would miss a month at times.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
Or they made sure since he came up on fire, with Rizzo hurting and out of the lineup, they took him out of the lineup, too, for several reasons. 1) Fans would wonder WTF Baez was still in the 2 hole for. 2) With Wood on the mound they want to make sure they got to tank a game. This team was starting to gel and it was time to break up the mojo for a better draft pick. [/conspiracytheory] :D

The problem I read with his hamstrings was his conditioning for his muscles were wrong. They werent being trained as baseball muscles. He is a big guy. They only flared up this year and have been fine since he came back. His injury last year was just a freak injury. He hasnt warranted enough concerns to worry about his durability.

Rizzo it out again today

Not happy with Rizzo's extended. They should have just put him on the DL to open up a roster spot.

They originally looked at it as day to day and there was only 3 days til today for expanded rosters , so no reason at the time to lock him up for 15 days..

CSF77 is a pillar of the Cubs forum here with many great posts. When did you show up? That's right. You have no idea who most on the forum are, but you have no problem filling the forum with poorly reasoned garbage. We already know FA pitchers are going to give the Cubs FO a fair shake. Perhaps you could do us all a favor and read some of the conversations we've had this season instead of acting as if you've reinvented the wheel.

So basically what you're saying is that if you're a new poster here, your opinion is not worth anything? OK. So I'm not aloud to speak in the current game threads either, until I read every post from the past? Reinventing the wheel? LOL. Who did that? I gave my opinion, and got ridiculed for it.

I'm not going to respond to his trash. When he gets old enough to appreciate just liking a team regardless if they are good or bad then he will get it.

It is not about the result it is the journey. Mill that over about why you follow anything in life.

Other than that. What a sucky ending to a game. I still believe they need to drop Baez in the order. He is killing the line up.

"It is not about the result it is the journey." - This is one of my favorite proverbs. I was considering saying that to you, but you beat me to it. So you're being pragmatic by not even considering a chance for a WS until we first make the playoffs? Sounds to me like your looking at results rather than the journey.

The Cubs are beginning their journey already. We, as fans, have had to endure the rebuilding, that was hard for me. We are now seeing signs of the journey taking the Cubs to the next step, right now, before a lot of people thought. For me, I'm enjoying the journey right now as I watch my team go from bad to looking like some of the rebuilding pieces contribute.

But I guess your journey won't start until they are a playoff team. It sounds a little fair weather to me. Very pragmatic of you as well. But you also couldn't, once again, make a comment without calling me young, and lecturing me about life? I do pretty well in life so you know.

Looking at your signature alone shows me what kind of fan you are, but hey, that's your right. Unlike you, I won't ridicule you for it. I do wonder, however, why you became a Bolts fan instead of sticking with the Bears? I guess you're being pragmatic again, and your journey will start when the Bears are a playoff team.

I also had very tight hammy's when I played. There are things that you can do to help this. Unfortunately, as you point out, Rizzo is out again. I also read they are going to give him an MRI. This is what we should worry about, imo. It would be a huge blow if this is a disc problem.

Your reading comprehension sucks. You preach to people who have discussed this stuff ad nauseam all year long. You act like "hey, isn't the future looking pretty good?" No kidding.

Wouldn't this get interesting if Turner could put it together down the stretch?

The difference is all you can do is discuss broad concepts fed to you by ESPN, as opposed to knowing who is actually available to help. Quit acting like a whiny little brat and answer the question. Who is the second TOR the Cubs will be signing this off-season?

@Bandit - Who was bitching? It seems I'm defending my every word. Also, I'm trying very hard to not argue, at all. Case in point - Parades quote. ^^^^

@Parade - I haven't watched ESPN for years. Once again, I'm being attacked on a forum. Who's preaching to people? I gave my opinion. Now you're insulting my intelligence and calling me names? Did I call you a name? Pardon me for saying something someone already said. Probably comes with being new, no?

I'm a new poster just trying to be part of the conversation, and I'm being attacked, insulted, and called names. Pardon me if I don't take to kindly to that. I thought the Bears forum was bad. It seems the Cubs forum isn't much better. I'm starting to wonder why I'm here?

So, you have problems with multiple people, but it's the multiple people who are the problem. That makes a lot of sense. As for my post, I edited it before you posted.

Well, I was man enough to actually apologize to you when we had our first disagreement. I guess your method is to insult me, and then sneakily edit your post. Multiple people? It's just you and this CF guy that have jumped on me. Even Bandit tried to make a point in a nice way. That shows class and maturity, unlike the 10 posts that you've made towards me. I even made a post with a different opinion than Boobaby. I don't see him insulting me. It's just you and CF. Your signature as well? LOL. Epitome of narcissism.

I was referring to them, I'm not sure of the conversation, haven't had the effort to go back and start from the beginning.
