In all seriousness..
Cubs tell you they wanted a "new direction "..

I think it started with his comment about Thames, then he was out a few games, then the incident in dugout with Lester..

I just think there was stuff going on inside the clubhouse with him and that why they let him go

Monday we gave up zero runs.

Wednesday we allowed two.

Thursday, at the time the complaints were written we had a shutout going, and as of now have allowed one.

Our bullpen is as good as any in baseball.

One starter has stunk (and has been on DL twice), and our 5th starter walks everybody 9but until two starts ago actually had a good ERA).

And we're bitching that Bosio is gone? REALLY?

Two more walks in the 9th....forcing the use of your closer.

Ridiculous

We're referring to walks, chief. You keep walking guys eventually you get burned.

I tagged that response to the wrong post. I apologize.

That was actually meant for the first post about Bosio.

To think you're blaming the pitching coach for that is even MORE ridiculous.

The main culprit is Chatwood who was not here for Bosio. Are you seriously suggesting Hickey is to blame for the walks?

OT: Cards scored 4 in the first, and are now down 8-5.

Closer just allowed a 3 run HR.

Chatwood and Wilson are killing them. Hancock had that issue also. But Ferrel is decent there. So not sure if it means much honestly.

Pirates are so fucking bad.

Cards down three. Load bases (with help of an error).

Single to left drives in the 6th and 7th run for Cards, but LF throws home and allows the tying run to get to 3rd with no outs.

Clint Hurdle had his one good year, and is living off of it forever.

Card get 3 run walkoff HR. Score 5 with nobody retired.

Pirates suck!

Too many Cardinal comebacks must be rotting your brain. Baseball is a performance based business. Now, what ChiBear brought up about Bosio probably played into it a bit but the fact that the Cubs pitching staff walked 53 in 10 playoff games is what essentially got Bosio fired. When anything pitching starts going sideways, who do you think Maddon is discussing things with....the janitor? So yeah, it's on the pitching coach...it's his job, his responsibility. It's not much different than NFL OC or DC getting launched because an offense or defense is under performing. That being said, Hickey has done a pretty good job so far but success can be fleeting....just ask Chris Bosio.

Bosio was a guy that preached repetition. The pitchers struggling are noticeably not repeating their motion. The current word is Hickey is working on Chatwood "getting the ball out of the glove". WOW. First I hear they just want him to throw and stop thinking and aiming, now they are wanting him to think about getting the ball out of the glove. Those are words from Coomer, who grew up in Chicago with Hickey living a few blocks away.

So you are complaining they got rid of Bosio, and saying Hickey has done a pretty good job so far. Got it.

Why can't coaches fix all pitchers and all hitters in a couple of months?
Fire everybody!

(I will try to figure out why the "living near each other" comment is relevant as soon as I determine how Roseanne's 'It was Memorial Day, too' comment explained her racist rant. ) :)

It was a rhetorical question but I'm sure that's above your pay grade.

It was during Coomers interview on the score this morning. He used it to show that he has a relationship with Hickey, they are friends from grammar school, kept in touch regardless of where the other one was, so he used it to say Jimmy is not going to bullshit me, this is inside information without saying I got inside information from Hickey.
