Still think Rizzo needs to drop. 0 for is a good time for it.

Almora did fine leading off. He feels out of place right now.

But right now they need Rizzo’s bat in a rbi spot. Baez can’t be on every game.

Pirates just 5 out now and if the Brewers win, their tied for first

They better flip that switch soon

Nothing really matters until Sept. as long as they are close right now.

Lol..now it September

That switch was supposed to flip
When it got Hot
Start of 2nd half
Now, September

Aug.1st Tied for 1st with a hot Brewers team

Cubs need to do better then 5 over in August or the Brewers will be 5 up on Sept 1st

Best hope Hamels has his A game tomorrow night, then they need to just steam roll the Padres and Royals after that

Which has nothing to do with the 3B coach sucking or not.
Yeah, it does. The 3rd base coach is ultimatley responsible to control the base runners. First time watching MLB?

Watching the play yesterday, Russell was not looking at the ball since it was behind him, he stumbled around third base and his eyes were focused on the coach. The stumble should have been enough to tell him to hit the brakes, but it sure appeared that butterbrain was not telling him to stop.

And there was a play a week ago where the runner just ran right through his stop signal. That's on the coach and manager to get that straighten out

So did that same player do it again? Repeatedly? Who told you they don't trust the 3B coach?

Nothing to do with that. Momentum and timing. Right now if they get hot most likely doesn't carry in to the play offs. Sept hot streak most likely will

That got them past the Nats last year.

Reread what you wrote and pretend someone else wrote it ...lol

So youre saying you dont want them to get on a roll now and win games, youd rather they wait til around mid September so they can carry that momentum into the playoffs...

Is that right?

One problem though, if they just win a few here and there and don't really get on a roll, the Brewers and maybe even the Pirates can just take off themselves and pull away a bit..
Then it wont matter how hot they get at the end of September cause theyll be too far back..

When they run through the signal repeatedly they are saying they dont trust the coaches judgement.

Not always the case, most of the time the runners just feel they can make it..

I guarantee you that the majority of runners that run through the stop sign are out at the plate

Nope. If they disobey the coach then they are not buying his judgement

Then youre saying that about every 3rd base coach on every team every year since forever, because that happens all the time ...

Not on disciplined teams. Yeah cause coaches and managers always encourgae the plays to do their own thing. Quit trying to defend the indefensible
