He brought in two position players in the top of the 6th, replaced a pitcher in the bottom of the 6th, and had a pitcher bat in a key spot in this game in the bottom of the 6th. He escaped due to the opponent's screw up. If Colorado covered first on Cishek's bunt, we'd be trailing now.

Let me know when you can do something other than make dick comments from the cheap seats. Maddon didn't use his last position player until Contreras and brought his pitcher into Caritini's spof. He's playing from ahead for a 9 inning game.

So a comment YOU don't agree with is a "dick comment"??
You argue with me no matter what I say. If YOU can't figure out that his player management today was bad, you don't get the game.
BTW, I was not considering the only remaining catcher as an available "position player", as that is the one guy you can NEVER use. But thanks for reminding us that he did.

Here's something I love about Almora... Prior to todays game I had read some comments from him saying that the baseball season is a huge grind and he doesn't worry about hitting daily. What he does is tries to find something small every day to help the team win rather than worry about whether or not he'll get hits. I simply love that attitude. Obviously today with his defense magnified that comment but you do enough little things and they add up.
It's stuff like that which is why I've always been so high on him. He simply doesn't have the ceiling of some of the other guys but other than maybe Baez he's possibly the best in terms of baseball IQ and always being in the right place doing the right things. Hell of a game for him. Hopefully he doesn't have to keep doing this in CF because his body might not make it the rest of the year.
